Rickie Weeks just hit a 470 foot homerun, 4th longest in Miller Park history, longest by a right handed hitter.  It was nasty.

Braves are on their way towards an epic collapse tomorrow is the day.

Fredi Gonzalez is an idiot when it comes to managing. Derek Lowe is worthless.

This.  The sweep at the Cards backyard was a killer.  Also I can add we had missed opportunities to have our wild card magic number reduced last week.

-Kimbrel giving up the walk off 2-run homer to Omar Infante when we were up 5-4 in the bottom of the 9th.
-Mets losing the 1st two games at STL
-Carlos Marmol not closing it out in the bottom 9th Saturday.
-Jonny Venters giving up Ruben Tejada single in the top of the 8th inning when we had a 5-4 lead on Sept 18th.

All we can do tomorrow is hope for the best.

For the Red Sox and Braves fans on here, with the way your teams have played all month don't you think your teams would get swept in the 1st round if they do make it?

Yes Boston can't pitch and Braves can't hit/pitch

There are a good amount of teams that struggle hard in September and make up for it in October.  Look at the 2000 Yanks for ex.  Lost 16 of 18 down the stretch and ran through the playoffs.

Think the Sox would be more equipped to do that than Atlanta though.

You're going to need to provide that list Proshares. I was listening to the Dan Patrick show and he remarked that the only team to win it all with a losing September was the 1946 Cardinals team.

Danny boy might need to check his facts, I know the Yankees in 2000 for sure went something like 13-16 and lost a good amount in the last two and a half weeks.

But I wasn't necessarily just saying about winning it all, just pointing out that even though some teams struggle hard to make it through September they've been known to win a round or two. I'll look some up.

You're right about the 2000 Yankees team. I remember them losing a lot of games, 17 to be exact. The Cardinals in 2006 also hobbled into the playoffs and we know how that turned out.
