And all 5 were ranked in the top 25 ( i think) before the season started, but Oklahoma and Bama's schedule are both weak. 4 top

"West is Best"

SEC West has defeated:
South Carolina
Lamar
Rice
Boise State
Vanderbilt
Louisiana-Lafayette
Arkansas
San Jose State
Southern Miss x2
UAB
South Alabama
West Virginia
FAU
Wisconsin
Sam Houston State
Louisiana-Monroe
Nicholls
Texas Tech

Why are any of these teams outside of Texas A&M in the Top 10 again? When does the real football begin?

The SEC west is still the best, regardless of bowl losses.

The point is, week in and week out, you're playing a solid team. There are no cupcakes.

You're playing more tougher games in the SEC than any other conference.

It doesn't mean other teams can't beat SEC teams, there's just more depth.

My Irish beat LSU and Badgers beat Auburn.....is that a sign of what's to come for Bama?

Get the hell out of here with that. Bowl losses DO matter. Stop trying to downplay the SEC's crappy bowl season. If it's the other way you'd be dry humping that SEC narrative about being the best in big games.

So far the SEC West has defeated a 6-6 Texas team and a 7-5 West Virginia team.

A team that's been ran through in the SEC dominated Texas. That shows the depth.

Yep that's the point. That's why the SEC will always be the best.

Bama, LSU and Auburn are the only teams that have had relevance recently. Arkansas, A&M and until this year the Miss schools have been cupcakes to average at best. They've gotten smacked by middling or teams that weren't supposed to be on their level. Safe to say they are nowhere near an NFL level conference like was being touted earlier.

All that being said, Bama's going to probably win it all and the conference will have the most draft picks again. That'll be 8 outta 9 years with the national champ and even with this below average bowl season their bowl record is still the best out of the power 5 in that same time period. So doesn't really matter.

Texas is a terrible team. This argument is no validity.

That's the point. Texas went 5-4 in the big12, and got dominated by a 2-6 SEC team lol.

I'll agree the top level teams aren't there this year like they've been in the past, but the conference is still deeper than anyone else.
