I don't disagree with that, but it seems pretty unfair to penalize Bama for playing an extra game Msst didn't have to play.

It's not a penalty. Ever since they lost to Ole Miss it's been that they have to win out to get in. Same with Oregon, TCU-
/BAYLOR there's no margin for error. Lose to Mizzou, you don't deserve to get in, any nobody will cry about it.
