OKC wouldn't win a ring with a coach like Pop?
I think that's exactly what's being said here and I think it's exactly what make yall sound silly
What I do agree with you on is that coaching matters on the margins, but not as much as people think. The stagnation that you see from a Houston or OKC is more so due to the lack of imagination and intuitiveness from players, not the coach. Again, for reference the best offenses in the league are that way because of player personnel, not the coach's playcalling. A lot of the great stuff you see is plain old intuition from the player, not the coach.
i disagree. they win alot of games on talent but when it gets deep in the playoffs i cant see that offense winning it all. healthy kd or not. coaching does matter but people it doesnt matter as much as people think it does.
weve seen talented teams win it with average coaches. big 3 in boston couldve won with any coach. look at first year coach kerr winning the chip.....
Bro, Overwhelming talent wins out almost every single time.
There is no way you honestly think a team withHarden, Westbrook, Durant, and Ibaka, all on the same team wouldn't or couldn't be able to win it all, health provided.
They have literally been stopped by luck. That's really it. You never bet against youth and talent that good. At least I don't think.

i hope russell stays alone in OKC or goes somewhere wack (lolakers) and ends up murking other teams and winning a chip on his own so we can finally see who the pointgod is and how much better he is then KD and harden

the only went to a finals together and lost to a miami heat team that went to the finals 4 years in a row , they definately sucked playing together
agreed.... these dudes cant see that those 3 stars that dont fit together but whatevers.
.... harden and westbrook need to dominate the ball. its really easy to see.
this is common sense.......riddle me this..how do you split up the pill 3 ways? alpha russ. alpha james. when healthy, alpha kd. who gets the ball end of game? you cant have 3 kings fam. no kingdom has ever had that. phil jackson wouldnt be able to get them on the same page. They'd all be sitting thinking they're better than each other. they'd have to comprimise and let serge airball the last shot.
they went to one finals and harden then isnt the harden of today..... he wouldnt have been okay with coming off the bench when hes as talented as he is. and russ and harden in a starting lu together today would not work.

The thing is though, that even without Harden a team with Ibaka / Durant / Westbrook is overwhelming enough to win it all. They haven't had a fair shake because of health. Those three work in great tandem together and by all accounts, there is no friction between those three.riddle me this..how do you split up the pill 3 ways? alpha russ. alpha james. when healthy, alpha kd. who gets the ball end of game? you cant have 3 kings fam. no kingdom has ever had that. phil jackson wouldnt be able to get them on the same page. agreed that ibaka is a much better fit then harden for this okc team ...

Whelp since we can already dismiss OKC and Houston based off 11 games I'd like to proclaim the Dallas Mavericks as the 3rd best team in the West.
Why not. You guys were already proclaiming Pachulia was a better choice than DJ
Well, this core has already ran through the spurs and beat LAC in the postseason soooo....no. i don't agree. All three being healthy, wouldn't be enough to win it all. Wouldn't even be enough to get to the finals. Idk if you guys are overrating the thunder or underrating everyone else. those 3 aren't enough to get through San An, GSW or hell, even LAC. And they'd still lose to a Lebron team.
Russ and KD not dropping 40 a night bro.

thought we were talking about this year. ... i had sas or gs as the western champs since the get go.

We finna be the next curry. lets just copy these workouts and bam. greatest shooters of all time all in this thread.

Look the west is tough. Most of these teams aren't that much better than the other so things such as health play a huge part and in that respect, the trio of Ibaka / Durant / Westbrook havent' been given a fair shake.
ZaZa Pachuilla has been a better basketball player than Deandre Jordan in the 2015-2016 season.
Looking forward to seeing McHale flourish in Minny in the future while Houston struggles
I swear NBA fans think coaches like Pop grow on trees .
So far, absolutely. I think DJ going to Dallas would've been a disaster. He fits fine in LAC. But hasn't been playing well so far.
Zaza and Dwight Powell are balling though.

No genius, has nothing to do with whether you can get multiple Pops or not. He's obviously one of a kind.
But when you say OKC "aint never winning a ring" with their current designed roster, it says even Pop can't correct their issues.
