Jennings, especially before the injury last season, showed enough PG instincts and shotmaking creativity to suggest that he's definitely an above average PG.

He isn't that bad.

He can't defend, but he's good in the P&R, at times is a willing passer, and can make shots...at times.

A lot of qualifiers in there.

well, when you take a stepback and look at it; life is but a lot of qualifiers really

Still can't fully comprehend Houston's decline. Would rockets fans prefer blowing it up (but keeping harden) and getting a head start on a rebuild?

They don't play defense, don't run an actual offense, nor have a coach that can actually draw up plays. I thought the firing of McHale would ignite something, since a lot of those problems were here even when Lin and Parsons were here (though the offense was better), but I didn't know JBB looked at McHale as a mentor, which is very apparent in the coaching style. Not playing rookies much? Putting guys in the doghouse after a bad game? Terribly slow or non-existent adjustments? Those are all McHale staples, and apparently JBB staples as well. No need for a full rebuild, they just need to address the problems directly. They've been needing a point guard and power forward upgrade since Harden got here. I like Bev, but he's not better than Paul, Parker, Wall, Lillard, Westbrook, Irving, and probably 10-15 others. Terrence Jones has been the starting PF more often than not, and he's underachieving trash. If there was a list of all the PFs in the NBA, he's easily near the bottom, and that includes both starters and backups.
This is the gift and the curse with Harden.

Gotta put a 3&D point guard next to him at all times, then let him have full control of the offense. Let him iso and pick and roll defenses as much as he wants.

Yeah I don't get trading the 2nd best guard in the league talk at all either
lillard with a group of nobodies who were supposed to be fighting for a top 3 pick this year is in the playoffs while "top 2 guard" with a roster built to contend is the 9th seed

james harden is not a winning basketball player, unless we're talking fantasy basketball

You could say that about almost every big time playmaking SG though. Harden's actually a good enough spot up shooter to play next to another ball handler if they're good enough. Ty Lawson and Jeremy Lin don't qualify :lol

I think after how Houston has catered the offense to him the past three years, it'll be difficult to ask of him to move off the ball.

The Los Angeles Clippers are nearing agreement on a deal to acquire Orlando's Channing Frye, league sources tell @TheVertical.
