2014 NFL Draft Thread

I know J-Ville plans to flip Joeckel to LT, but now that means Cam Bradfield starting at RT.

I've seen Jag fans with their eye on Teddy + Gordon. Joeckel, Blackmon already in hand, I like that start. But isn't Gordon a true Soph?

Word to the stories about Tampa's GM.

QB aside, J-Ville needs interior OL, CB, OLB, DT.

i guess it really depends on where the guys drop (pats could pick someone to eventually take over for 36 years old brady).. and waht teams decide to blow things up (if the steelers decide to rebuild)

probably easier to name the teams you know for sure wont take a QB

I think Mallet will replace Brady, unless someone with high value just falls into their lap.

Tampa needs a QB so bad man, I can only hope they hit paydirt. And i think JFF will surprise you guys at the next level. It seems he will be going in with a lot of questions, but i swear I believe this dude can play in the L, and at a high level. Guess we will have to wait to see 8)

oh ok.. yeah my bad, spelled ol boys name wrong.... Anyways, i don't follow pro bowl nearly as much as college, but all i have heard about Dominik is good things. I guess i was trolled, but he was originally just a personnel scout for the bucs years before GM right? Did he climb the latter on his own?

Started as a pro personnel assistant in '95. Then pro scout. Coordinator of pro personnel. Director of pro personnel.

Yeah I've heard Mark Dominik leaves the office at 4PM every day :lol

But ****....he's brought us Revis, V-Jax, Carl Nicks, Goldson, Doug Martin, Lavonte David and Mark Barron in just the past year. He's done a good job managing contracts too.

move cecil shorts? he's a stud
and jets aint taking a quarterback in the first round 2014

I wish they looked into a QB for 2014. Mariota to the Jets 2014. Broadway Marcus!

lol, I know I got some of y'all heated. :p

Shorts is worth at least a third. 25. Flourished in spite of poor QB play. 55/1,000/7 at 18 per reception is legit in J-Ville.

Shorts absolutely is worth atleast a 3rd. He's put up great numbers with the most dreadful starting quarterback situation in the league. No way they should trade either him or Blackmon though. MJD is the only one they should be looking to trade.

not sure if you trolling or joking CP but zero shot the jets take a QB

Arizona
Vikings
tampa bay
browns

maybes
Raiders
san diego
Houston
titans
pitt
rams
philly

if everyone enters teams like the bears, New England and Cowboys could find great picks in the 3rd round for QB's of the future

Freeman news just hit my reminder button.

You think I am trolling with the Jets taking a QB next year, yet you yourself have the Bucs taking a QB, right after they just took Glennon.

Geno/Glennon, Glennon/Geno, same ****. Neither are franchise QB's, try again next year.

Let's make a call on QB's after rookie seasons with whether or not they are franchise material. Seems smart.

We aren't going to have a no. 1 pick and there isn't a guy like Cam Newton on the board right now. If Bridgewater is available, I'm all for that since I really like what I've seen of him but none of those other guys would warrant taking a QB in the first round when this team has so many other holes. Jets are definitely going to go receiver first round and try at least giving him a weapon or two before deciding whether or not he can actually do anything or not.

i'm waiting for the jets to hand geno smith that sanchez money :hat

Your management wants Geno.

Your coach does not.

So either Geno stays and Rex goes, or Rex stays and Geno goes.

One way or another, that situation is a damn mess. And if the Jets are there at 7 and Boyd, Mariota, Hundley, Mettenberger, whoever is sitting there, with high *** ratings thru the draft process, even higher than Geno's, I find it hard to believe they put their trust in another mediocre QB like they did with Sanchez.

I hope like hell they do. I hope they give Geno a lifetime contract, nothing would make me happier, but they are complete morons if they pass on QB after QB for Geno. Someone in that place has to have some sense in their brains.

Regardless, we've played four games, talking about it now is a fruitless discussion...If Geno plays like he did last week for the rest of the year, it'll be pretty obvious that we will go in a different direction. If he improves and starts to feel more comfortable, we'll give him another year or so, get some receivers in there and see what he can do maybe.

And that Rex/Geno going thing is completely false but whatever fits your narrative I suppose.
