MIAMI—
As he negotiated his NBA free-agency return back to the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade issued a statement Saturday about LeBron James' departure to the Cleveland Cavaliers:

"As a friend and a teammate, I am sad to see my brother LeBron leave to begin a new journey. In 2010, we decided to come together all for one goal -- to win championships and we succeeded.

"We were friends when we first joined the league and created an unbreakable bond the past four years. Our collaboration will always be very special to me both personally and professionally. We shared something unique and he will always be part of my family.

"LeBron made the right decision for himself and his family because home is where your heart is. I know this was not an easy decision to make and I support him in returning to his roots.

"As an organization, a community, and as individuals, we achieved the goals we set when we first signed on together. We are champions."

why wade opt out though?

srsly
Bron did it on his own, the only way for the Heat to lure Bron back was for Wade and Bosh to opt out too. They tried to convince him to come back but ultimately home is where the heart is. No bitterness on any side... Wade will get his money

Cleanthony Early and Hardaway Jr are two great picks in a row for the Knicks.

Man what the hell is D Wade about to do though. I feel sorry for him man
He's about to get paid and already established his legacy. Why do you feel sorry for him?
Obviously dude got got his rings and legacy. I guess I really just feel sorry for him because he opted out of a $40 mill contract over a span of literally 24 months. I guess he'll still get his $40 mill just has to be under contract for a year or two more

Feel sorry for Wade? What are you guys smoking?

Dwyane Wade will be fine. He's a living legend in South Florida that brought them a ring in 2006 and was responsible for LeBron coming in the first place.

I still think he's a good player and I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 20 ppg this year if he stays healthy. He just needs to use this motivation to work on his shooting man so he can last some more years. I think Miami is going to be okay this season, maybe a 3-6 seed. They'll still be relevant.

Can't wait for the season to start tho now. :hat

Melo :{

born loser
melo went with the money,
It's understandable but we will be shutting ny down regardless..he's going to be miserable for a year but 20+mil is worth it.. East is now wide open so I don't even care much.. Chi's good :smokin

Knicks will be a very competitive team this year and hit playoffs easy, probably second or 3rd round with the right matchup
lol. Shut that mess up NT GMs
NY COMPETITIVE NEXT YEAR?
:lol what are you talking bout dude?
Piut the magic 8 ball down

I see Bulls and Lakers fans that were in this thread and their team threads that wanted Carmelo badly, saying they would probably get him and would change the game. Now ******** on him.
You again.. Smh

He's down for anything on the court. If anyone is down for that, It's Chicago

What are you talking about again man what do you know bout chicagos front office?? We're not talking bout the city were talking bout a pro basketball franchise.. Chicagos front office does not accept any games at all..we've let go of players for nothing just to avoid locker room cancers.. It's well know bulls fo doesn't accept any games..
