Cleveland has 3 1st round picks next year?

Jeez.
2015 first round draft pick from Memphis
Memphis' 1st round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 1-5 and 15-30 in 2015, 1-5 and 15-30 in 2016, 1-5 in 2017 or 1-5 in 2018 or unprotected in 2019 [Cleveland-Memphis, 1/22/2013]

2015 first round draft pick from Miami
Miami's 1st round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 1-10 in 2015 or 1-10 in 2016 or unprotected in 2017 [Cleveland-Miami, 7/9/2010]

BUT

2015 first round draft pick to Chicago
Chicago has the right to swap its 2015 1st round pick for Cleveland's 2015 1st round pick protected for selections 1-14 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Cleveland's obligation to Chicago will be extinguished) [Chicago-Cleveland, 1/7/2014]

Jeez.

I can't believe they didn't give an 2015 1st pick away in the trade with Boston and Brooklyn instead of a 2016 pick, but that was based on the weak 15 class, didn't know they had 3 1st rounders next year. Dizzam

Edit/ just saw Pmatics post on this

They invested four years (three and a half in Favors' case) in developing the two. They can't just let them walk away for nothing given that they are in Utah and will rarely ever attract players as good as these two are/going to be.

The problem is those two don't measure out to anything good, unless Trey/Exum turn into stars your looking at a team that won't even make the 8 seed every single year. They were expecting he was going to command a hefty payday, look to package him for something but you can't saddle yourself with two role players commanding that much when your rebuilding.

My brain hurts, it's too early for me to be reading this much, :lol

So they do have 3, right?

Memphis', Miami's and then either their own or Chicago's?

Dallas and Houston are discussing sign-and-trade scenarios for Chandler Parsons, league sources tell Yahoo. Offer sheet hasn't been signed.

Memphis is gonna make the playoffs, so no.

And if Miami gets cleaned out, they'll be picking top 10, so no.
