I don't necessarily think that goes against what I was getting at. I know Rich wasn't always his agent & I know who his team is (I think most of us do, as an entity). But Rich is the one who is heading up the Agent side of the enterprise they are building. How many ppl knew who RP was and in what position he served. People knew Maverick from "The Decision" since (iirc) he was the head person behind that. If you want to be a big dog in the agent game the best way to go on that process is to get your Head agents name out there. We know they've been trying to get back to Cleveland, and its pretty obvious that they are where these Cleveland leaks are coming from. They also know that should they end up in Cleveland, they will be able to do damn near whatever they want to.
Miami has no choice in the matter, they can't put a muzzle on Rich or anyone in that camp. They don't have the leverage. It's all in Bron & Co.'s court.
When Bron goes back to Miami Rich will be the guy who almost got Bron back to Cleveland and had all of these owners and GM's groveling at his feet and wanting to do whatever they wanted to please his Client. Not just Cle, but all the other teams expressing interest. Having one on one meetings w/ the Owners of the franchise. If Bron goes back, Rich Paul will be the guy who defied all odds and somehow got him back, won back the fans and the ownership. He did the impossible. It's a win/win

But I've had guys in his inner circle tell me as far back as 2012 that they all wanted him to go back... so I know that's true. And Rich has always been based out of Cleveland, ever since he signed his first "official" client, Tristan Thompson.
