Marvin has had a lot of injury problems though.. his health is always a question. He also can't really shoot.. he can still move around better than a Rashard Lewis though and defend of course.

I don't know how much Williams really moves the needle but I'd rather have him than Lewis. Now how much of an upgrade Williams would be is up for debate

Heat president Pat Riley and coach Erik Spoelstra flew to NC to meet with Jazz free agent forward Marvin Williams yesterday, a source told Yahoo.

:rollin - options are getting slim..

Marvin Williams is a really good defender and can knock down an open 3 when needed. With Lebron on the team, he'll have plenty of looks to look great.

If Rashard Lewish can knock down 12-14 points and play defense in the current Heat system, Marvin Williams would look even better. This move is more about getting younger players.

It's only bad, because a week ago they were targeting Lowry, Gortat, Melo etc. Now they're targeting Marvin Williams, Anthony Morrow etc. Smells like desperation.

It is desperation, their market for impact players has dried up considerably. Riles grasping for straws now especially when the Big 3 won't make up their mind and he can't even give them a solid figure on what they can make. We all know Wade isn't going anywhere, they should at least get him to commit to a number, but he can't until they know whether LBJ resigns or not.

Would like to thank do work, JJ, Anti, Van Ho, and everyone else refraining from taking the city talk too seriously. Yeah, I answered the question about superstars staying in bad cities, but damn. :lol Thought it would just be a couple responses and back to waiting on Melo's announcement tomorrow on his destination and Bron telling us sometime this week which non-Cleveland city he'll be playing for. :lol
The "Admin" trolled, and everybody fell for it :{

Why this thread isn't even fun sometimes.
The thread's not fun sometimes because of people w/ agendas that have nothing to do w/ basketball, and the feels they attach to their agendas. Sound familiar?

Let people dog Cleveland more without you responding, THEN you can try and check someone for trolling.

Cleveland sucks.

It is what it is, I don't know how realistic it was for the Heat to land any of those guys anyway (Lowry, Gortat etc). Those guys probably just used Miami for leverage. There's still some long shots out there like Gasol, Deng or Ariza but realistically a Marvin Williams or Vince Carter might be what they end up with. It's going to be fun to see what they end up with. I do wonder why the Big 3 haven't agreed to a number yet though so it could be clear as to how much Riley has to play with.

Lbj waiting on melo, its an ego thing

This page :lol :lol

This really is desperation for the Heat though. Funny thing is, it seems like teams around the league (or maybe even the players themselves) are intentionally not involving themselves with them. Had the Heat won the series, maybe guys would've flocked to them, taking paycuts and all. But with the Spurs dismantling them, being in Miami may not look so glamorous to them anymore
