So if I read that correctly, JayZ as at fault for KD getting a super dope offer from UA, and then pulling out of FIBA.
This is good publicity for the RocNation team, or whatever they are called now.

Can someone explain to me the point of dudes like Carmelo taking 62 mil upfront?
He's made 135 mil just off of NBA contracts so far. Not like he needs that money for a house or somethin.

^pride, ego, feeling of self-worth, etc.

And i guess the skillset they bring in lol

Man please. Give me that kind of money to play basketball and have my family set for generations. Yall be sounding like some insecure mug shuns. These teams aint got no loyalty to NOBODY. Make your money, do your best to win a tltle and if you don't at least you cashed out playing a sport most of us play for free.

It's always easy to count another mans money.

I challenge you to go into work on your next scheduled day, look at the time clock, look and your time card, and just skip clocking in for the day.
Will never happen

Or when you hear they may be doing layoffs, because business is down, and they choose to keep you, tell them no, they need to let you go too, that way you can make room for someone who needs the money more.
Tell them you want to help the company get back on it's feet, so you need to be laid off too, so they can fit their next quarterly goal in.

My question has nothing to do with counting another mans money. Its just odd to me that a multi millionaire would want a lump sum for the next 3 seasons upfront.

Not even close to the same thing as Melo taking less money to be part of a championship contender.

On this subject, I also digress.

All about the time value of money. He could have several investments he's interested in and it's always better to explore those opportunities now than 3 years later when it's already booming and cost much more to get involved in and lessens your return.

8o. Cancelling my NBA LP and going over to BS from now on. For one, it's only $89 for a full year and you can cancel during the off season and re-up your subscription when it starts back up :smokin. Games are immediately archived and have a greater frame rate than NBA LP. Only downside I've come across so far is that you have to download games before watching, I believe, and the stream to media device e.g. xbox 360 isn't seamless and requires a few steps to set it up. There's a thread on Real GM that goes in more detail: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1283574

Anybody here use ballstreams? 8o
