The NBA made Steve Ballmer's ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers official today. As part of the sale, the Clippers have agreed to bestow a collection of perks upon Shelly Sterling, one of which will designate her as the Clippers' "Number 1 Fan" for the rest of her life.

- Up to 10 percent of the Clippers - or $200 million - will be spun off into a charitable foundation that Shelly Sterling will run.

Shelly Sterling also retains the following perks:

- 10 tickets in Sections 101 or 111 for all Clippers home games
- 2 courtside tickets for all Clippers home games
- 6 parking spots in Lot C for each home game
- 12 VIP passes including access to Lexus Club, Arena Club, or Chairman's Lounge and media room or equivalent for each home game
- 3 championship rings following any Clippers title
- Titles of "Owner Emeritus" and "Clipper's Number 1 Fan" for the rest of her life.

Hopefully the league at least made sure these cannot be willed down once this lady's time is up.

Small price to pay to keep both scumbag husband & wife out of the spotlight.
They were ultimately always going to keep some small percentage of the team, but it would've gotten a lot uglier if they didn't sell and the league forced them out.

I don't think any team will match the pure athleticism/Havoc of the '08 squad for a while. So damn overwhelming when they turned on the pressure defense
