I think that Pistons starting 5 was one of the most complete starting 5s in that era, hands down.

We came into the series shaky.

Billups was a top 5 point guard.

Richard was a top 10 SG

Prince was the best defensive SF(yes better than Ron IMO)

Rasheed was still decent

Ben Wallace was top 5 Centers at the time

Still got that Sheed Hawks jersey somewhere at my moms crib :smokin

Wish he stayed, would've loved watching him in person once a week.

2004 NBA Finals

Game 1: Detroit Pistons 87, Los Angeles Lakers 75 (12 point difference)

Game 2: Detroit Pistons 91, Los Angeles Lakers 99 (OT) (8 point difference)

Game 3: Los Angeles Lakers 68, Detroit Pistons 88 (20 point difference)

Game 4: Los Angeles Lakers 80, Detroit Pistons 88 (8 point difference)

Game 5: Los Angeles Lakers 87, Detroit Pistons 100 (13 point difference)

2014 NBA Finals

Game 1: Miami Heat 95, San Antonio Spurs 110 (15 point difference)

Game 2: Miami Heat 98, San Antonio Spurs 96 (2 point difference)

Game 3: San Antonio Spurs 111, Miami Heat 92 (19 point difference)

Game 4: San Antonio Spurs 107, Miami Heat 86 (21 point difference)

Game 5: Miami Heat 87, San Antonio Spurs 104 (17 point difference)

I just noticed this. The point difference for each game (outside Game 4), is REALLY close.

Also the winning format is the exact same. Champ wins, loses, then wins next 3 games.

Lastly, they are exactly 10 years apart and they both featured a team with current and aging HOFs loses to the more complete, balanced team.

Dude left you wanting more man.

Could take you into the block and had that long range game.

Could've been one of the goats.

Had the talent to be one of the best ever, but was content with being one of the guys instead of the guy.

On an unrelated note, Luke Ridnour's deal with Orlando, I'm told, is $2.75 million in the first year and a team option in the second.
