Will it set the Mavs' franchise back? No.
Will Parsons give them the chance to compete, even in a tough west? Yes.

It's a three year deal, Dallas overpaid but it's only three years. Dallas did the right thing and Houston did the right thing. There is no problem here.

however, they didn't need to be in that position in the first place.. they could have had parsons for this upcoming season for under a mill
