2014 Lexus IS Leaked Photos

Gonna need to see the rear in person before I make a judgement, but the front and interior is on point. That instrument cluster is :smokin

i tried to change the bulb of my friend's IS recently though and when i popped the hood all these parts had TOYOTA written on them.

They are both owned by the same company along with Scion. Therefore You'll see Toyota stamped on the products as it's copyrighted by them. However Lexus operates and designs their automobiles independently of the other two. They do share parts and as mentioned the ES is built on the Camry platform. Similar to VW and Audi and Lamborghini. They are all part of the VW group and share parts. You crack open the dash on a Murciealgo and you'll see VW stamped all over it but I don't see anyone calling that an overpriced GTI. Gone, for the most part, are the days of using new bumpers, hoods, fenders, along with some interior tweaks and rebranding a Toyota a Lexus.

Sick just sick!
I want it.

I was expecting RFX would be the one to make the thread :lol

Yah, F-Sport hence the very aggressive front. I'm kind of digging the separate LED from the headlights, not sure if it gets tiring after a while though.

There isnt going to be a manual.

:lol @ the 40.0 MPG reading on the cluster. Unless this is going to be a hybrid... then... well then it makes sense.

There is a hybrid but not for the US market.

I dont like the f sport front end to be honest. Its too 2 fast 2 furious for me. Ive never liked the current is F sport front end either. I think the spindle grill looks good but dont like the headlights and led strips at all. I am curious to see the non f sport. I could see an f sport swapped with a regular bumper looking a lot better in my eyes. I could also see them doing a pretty big refresh to the front end after two years when they introduce new engines. Similar in a way to how acura redesigned the last gen Integera front end in Japan.

The interior is nice. Not feeling the taillight-side skirt lines though but I'm sure it looks better in person.

Am I trippin' or is there no difference at all in the front end? (F-Sport vs. Regular)

Edit:

That's still an F-Sport, you can see the badge right there.

Nvm.

Yah my fault, it's the same. I thought it was different but it's exactly the same. Just caught that.
