I would rather have Bledsoe than Dragic next summer. Even at a higher salary and injury risk.

http://www.dailynews.com/sports/201...lakers-byron-scott-preaching-nba-championshipScott will spend training camp figuring out his starting lineup, which he says will currently feature Nash, Bryant, Carlos Boozer and Jordan Hill. He is leaning toward starting Wesley Johnson at small forward because of his defensive potential and relying on Nick Young's prolific scoring off the bench. Scott also reported Xavier Henry has not fully recovered from left wrist and right knee injuries.
Not only are we old...but defensively negligent at the 1,2(I LOVE Kobe but let's be real), probably 3,4 for sure(Boozer didn't even play in the 4th a lot in Tibbs system for that reason) and I like Hill's effort but he isn't exactly a defensive specialist. I used to be a crazy optimist when I was young but that's changes...it's gonna be another very rough season for our squad.Nash
Bryant
Wes
Boozer
Hill
That's fantastic.
I'm guessing Igor Kokoskov is the undetermined candidate?.“I don’t know yet, but I know we have a bunch of good veterans and we have some young guys who can learn the system real quickly,” said Scott, whose assistants will include Jim Eyen, Paul Pressey, Mark Madsen, Larry Lewis, his son, Thomas, and one more undetermined candidate. “It really depends on how fast we can gel together. But I look at the personnel we have around and I think it’s a lot better than people give us credit for.”
Sounding reeeeeaaaaal defensive already, my dude.“I don’t know yet, but I know we have a bunch of good veterans and we have some young guys who can learn the system real quickly,” said Scott, whose assistants will include Jim Eyen, Paul Pressey, Mark Madsen, Larry Lewis, his son, Thomas, and one more undetermined candidate. “It really depends on how fast we can gel together. To Kobe's credit, I've never believed that he has ever done a single thing because of guys like me, like he needs to win me over. He does what he does because it's what he does, not because of me.
I figured he'd give Boozer the job to start off with. I just hope he gives Randle enough opportunities to prove himself and makes the switch when (or if) he does.
As Oram said, the Lakers obviously can not officially name Bryant a coach in any capacity, but that won’t stop Scott from consulting Bryant. Most likely, Bryant will be able to help after games and in pre-game walk throughs. We know Bryant is a loud voice on the court already, so that is unlikely to change.Byron reiterates he will use Kobe as an asst. coach. Of course, Lakers don’t officially have any of those right now so he may need to.
- Bill Oram
@bill_oram Byron says he when he played there was an attitude of "championship or nothing. ...I want our guys to start thinking that way from day one."
Man, what.@bill_oram Byron loves quotes. Woman asks what quote he would give to fans. "Be patient."
Speaking of staff, Byron Scott said he;s going to use Kobe as an ASSISTANT COACH. Yeah you heard that right

Ha. Kaman and Pau could've developed a good big man game. Neither here nor there.**** Kaman and Jamison.

if we dont get a top 5 pick, it goes to phoenix
For 2015, yes. The pick is top three protected in 2015 and 2016 and unprotected in 2017.curious, Lets say we get top 5 pick, does that mean phoenix ends up with nothing?

And let's not forget, if next year's pick were to go to the Suns, then the following year the Lakers are subject to sending their own pick to the Magic from the Dwight Howard trade.
