Peter King wrote in column today that many within the NFL ranks believe that Manziel is undraftable due to his mood swings, off field issues and his tendency to party too much. However, that out of the 32 teams, one will take a chance on him barring that he self destructs between today and draft day. NFL isn't buying the just another college kid excuse one bit. Its a business at the end of the day.

I see Johnny falling to late second or early third. Backyard football style will appeal to some offensive coach with creativity.

3rd round? He's the best offensive player in college football since AD probably. Not a chance in hell he falls out of the 1st round. You don't pass up once in a generation talent because a kid likes to have fun.
Manziel is going top 15 don't worry. Behind the image of him that ESPN likes to portray he's a mature guy and a great leader. Bama game just proved it even more so.
Also, he has too much talent to simply ignore. Nobody walks all over Saban defenses like he has. Especially considering how much effort Bama put in to stopping him.
It'd be one thing if his off field stuff affected his on field play, but it hasn't. People said he'd slump this year because of his off the field life, but he's only gotten better.
As long as he's not out doing drugs, getting arrested, or in trouble he'll be fine.

As of now, I don't see Manziel as anything more than a high-grade Flutie that provides a spark for a team.
He can't get a way with some of his haphazard throws he makes in college and a lot of that running around and scrambling time will be cut down considerably in the NFL. I'd stay away even though I love watching him play.

I'd take MM and Hundley over Johnny, and I rate both late first to early second.
McCarron is the interesting one. Super underrated. How much of it is the elite supporting cast?
He's well-coached under Saban. Smart with the football. A proven leader. I have no problem with a draft analyst ranking AJ over Manziel.

Colt was sick and missed the game. Coach Mark tried to be Chip-lite with his comments after the game and Colt didn't like it.
Should be good to go after the bye week.

Man..Step your *** back. He was making extremely valid points. Success in the NFL should not be based off of a 3-year sample, let alone 2 games. You're talking about guys that can run...WE talkin' about QUARTERBACKS.

He's got a couple inches on both of them. Reason why Brees suceeds despite his height is his pocket presence, and Manziel's pocket presence is very comparable to Brees. Vick, Brees, Russy, have proven that shorter QBs with good mobility can work in NFL.
Backyard football? You saw a couple of highlights on Sportscenter of him making ridiculous plays and judged that to be the identity of his game. You can't do what he did to Bama's defense playing "backyard" football. He is just as good in the pocket as he is when he has to improvise. You don't have 72% completion in 2 games against Bama, which is close to an NFL defense as it gets in college, playing "backyard" football.
He ran for 98yds against Bama? How many big hits did he take? None. He pretty much always gets out of bounds or will slide when he runs to avoid hits. durability isn't an issue if you're not getting hit.
A college kid drinking in the offseason is a concern? Nobody can speak to his personality if you don't know him personally. ESPN making a mountain out of trivial issues doesn't make him a bad character.
Plus the fact that he's a RS Sophomore....he's only going to get better and more mature.
