most west coast scouts feel he is not that good. USC took his commit then stop talking to him once the season started. most feel like UCLA could have him but mods on both boards have said the UCLA staff doesnt like him enough to give him a offer. if USC really wanted him he would still be a USC commit

Well it seems like Sumlin has made him a priority, so I guess I'll just have to trust that Sumlin has done his evaluations and thinks that LaRue would be a perfect fit in this offense.

Lack of QBs next year plus real crap class of QBs this year and a big season will get him drafted high.
He goes behind Bridgewater and before McCarron and Manziel.

Eh. Losing Ellington & Nuk. It's gonna come down to improvement on defense, I was actually really surprised with how they looked against LSU, it was a different D. Secondary was still getting torched and if Mettenberger was decent, it could've been worse but we were also playing backups most of the season at CB (3 of the top 4 were out for all or a lot of the season).
Toss up between us & FSU still. I'm real curious to see how VT responds, they looked awful. Got a good TE though.

Uh, no. Not unless Morris goes outside his mind next year, he ain't even on radar yet. Lotta guys had Boyd in their top 5 this year, if he plays well again, he'll improve on that.

Ehhh, no guarantee that he goes before McCarron should McCarron have a year similar tho the one he had this year. In addition I think Tajh & Manziel will have the same height knocks. There is a reason that Boyd got a 3rd round grade back from the Advisory committee even w/ the great year he had this season for clemson.

Tajh Boyd is not going before Manziel or McCarron. He might not even go ahead of Logan if certain teams are on the clock. He's a good QB, but he'll be a 3rd-5th round pick.

Would you believe he STILL got a first round grade from the draft advisory committee?
He apparently still hasn't made up his mind whether he'll go this year or not. I think regardless of what the paperwork says there's no way in hell he gets drafted early. I'll be curious to see how much he improves if we're able to hire Pep Hamilton from Stanford as QB coach/OC. I really don't see how he could be any worse than he was last year.

Tajh Boyd is a ******. Teams aren't clamoring to draft him. Manziel is short too, but he can at least sell tickets for certain franchises and teams reach off hype all the time. I think Tajh is the better qb, but who's hyped on him?
