Just last year, Forbes listed them at about $430M. The Knicks were #1 at $1.1B in terms of NBA teams.
I mean, I understand there is a lot value with the market and all. But, almost $2B for a team that's probably not even 3rd or 4th highest valued franchise in their own city? Maybe my figures are just completely off, but I was thinking a fair sale would be around $800-900M (hell, maybe even $1B even). The Bucks sold for $550M, the Grizz sold for $350M.
I don't even understand how Milwaukee sold for $550M, when the Grizzlies only sold for $350M and Memphis is considered the more valuable franchise.
