and Dre, that @#+# on your lip, got some @#+# on its lip u not smokin wit me bro

Why is Joe Haden so overhyped? He was getting burnt often the first year and a half at UF, granted he was inexperienced. I know he's come a long way working on technique with Charlie Strong and what not, but it wasn't too long ago that Jenkins was outperforming Haden. I think P-Rob, Cox, Wilson, and Warren all have the potential to be better than Haden.
Totally agree about Haden...Donovan Warren is a major sleeper. Him and Brandon Graham were the only dudes worth ANYTHING on our D this year(I'll give Mike Martin and Troy Woolfolk a pass as well
grin.gif
). Speakingof BG, he's a another sleeper as well even though he's at the bottom of Mel's top 25.
I'm interested to see what direction Holmgren takes in his first year in Cleveland. You would think they have to take Bradford or Clausen if either is available at #7. Quinn can be considered a bust at this point and DA is a waste of money.
I'll be pretty surprised if we go QB again (and really pissed
mad.gif
). There's not one QB in the draft that seems like a sure thing. I don't think we can make that gamble again. I wouldn't call Quinn abust just yet. He hasn't even had a full season worth of starts under his belt and began showing some signs before going down. He also doesn't haveANY weapons around him. I think he could potentially be a serviceable option (especially in the west coast), much like a poor man's Matt Hasselback inSeattle. Never gonna light the league on fire, but could get the job done. Also, there are rumors that MH is trying to bring in Hasselbeck as a stop gap andto tutor Quinn. That would honestly be ideal
pimp.gif
. DA is +$++@$# garbage. I wish we would just cut his %!+ now. We need to get him off the roster, he's just a worthless distraction for Quinn. He will NEVER be a starting QB on aplayoff team. Dude is a decent backup if he actually accepts the role. WAY too many picks.
smh.gif

Don't forget Steinbach - the Browns are paying him a lot of money to perform.

Of course Mangini is gonna say that about Mack but it's simply not true. Mangold is an All-Pro center and likely the best at his position in the league. I don't see Alex Mack on that route within 3-4 years.

I'm with you on Bentley
sick.gif
after that huge contract too. Better pay Cribbs, he's a playmaker and works well in the Wildcat. Harrison looks like Cleveland's RB for the future.

I would fire Mangini honestly. He's not a good football coach and has shown it in New York. Yes the Browns played well down the stretch but if the organization steps up with the cash I think Cowher can be lured outta retirement/CBS studio.

I'm not forgetting Steinbach. Was just pointing out the young guns. Did you watch Mack play at all towards the end of the season? He wasstraight mauling people and his development was one of the main reasons Harrison blew up so fast. I'm not necessarily saying he'll be as good asMangold, but he looks like he will be one of the better centers in the league sooner rather than later.

We're definitely about to PAY THE MAN!
pimp.gif
...Holmgren said it was amajor priority in his presser. Also, I'm not totally sold on Harrison. I don't think he is an every down RB in the AFC north...but time will tell.

And yes, I hope we can Mangini with the quickness. This organization will not get back to where we want in to be without total cohesion and that ain'thappening unless MH hires all of his own people (and they can't just be "yes men"). I would like The Chin, but I don't think he would bewilling to do that to Pittsburgh (yes, I know he started here).

My #1 option is Gruden. West Coast O JUST like Holmgren. Ohio boy. Said he really likes BQ as a QB and said he thinks he could truly succeed with the rightsystem and players around him on the MNF broadcast. But from all reports, he's content on being with ESPN for a few more...Cot Damn shame.
smh.gif
I'd be doing backflips if we got BOTH MIke Holmgren and John Gruden to run thisfranchise.
eek.gif
...I would honestly give up this entire draft just to get thatmarriage in place.

One of my favorite players - looks like he has to come back for his senior year now.

so are u judging Haden on his 1st yr or the rest of his time where its obvious he improved? if thats the case Dez shouldnt be hyped cus he wasnt doin numbershis freshman yr
janoris never outperformed joe. Jenkins just had INTs while Joe played the oppositions best WR every game

Nah, the Giants D was piss poor ALL year long, even when Pierce was in the game. Remember the Cowboys game, and the Saints game.

I also like these guys but I just think since Mays is a little taller and probably faster he'll probably have a better chance of covering these receivers alittle better.

my team needs some help on the defensive side IMO. i hope they make some good picks come draft time

Haden deserves his hype in my opinion. He is kinda small though.

Brandon Spikes on the other hand...I am just not impressed

Both, I noted his improvement in technique but where he started also makes a difference to me. My gripe is that many experts and football fansalike are overrating his potential in the league. What really sets him apart from Warren, Wilson, Cox, and P-Rob?? Similarly is Haden worth a highfirst-rounder (top 12 most likely) at the end of the day? I really don't think so...Joe Haden doesn't scream can't miss corner in my eyes.

"Just had INTS"=making plays, something Haden wasn't doing the first half of 2008. He had one pick up to the Georgia game that year so yes Iwould say Jenkins outplayed Haden for a significant stretch of time. Janoris forced two turnovers against the Vols and was a major factor in the LSU win. Hadencame on at the end of the season.

Aaron Hernandez also declared today - anyone else think he might just be a gadget TE? He's not in the same level as Gresham, McCoy, and maybe Dickson.

so jonathan joseph is a better CB than Champ bailey cus he has more INTs than him?

Janoris has never been better than Joe,

^ That's a bad analogy because I never implied that more INTs necessarily equals a better corner or DB. Everyone knows Joe Haden is a better pro prospectthan Janoris Jenkins, but my point was that Jenkins outperformed Haden the first half of the 2008 season. I already provided specific stats and cases tosupport my argument. Why mention that: because I made the comparison to question how good Haden really is. Also, how high is Joe Haden's potential/ceilingin the NFL. I find him to be extremely overrated and wouldn't spend a top 10 pick on someone who isn't a surefire elite corner. There's not muchseparation between Haden, Wilson, Cox, P-Rob, and Warren. You can throw Franks' name in the mix as well.

Any Big 12 heads have a scouting report for Earl Thomas?

I think he's being overlooked as a very good saftey in this class. 2nd best behind Berry I was hoping the 49ers could take him with their second 1strounder.

Right now Earl Thomas in many minds is creeping up into mid first round. Hes an excellent ball hawk but dont know much about his tackling skills. Many mockshave him going to the texans in the mid teens even over mays.

Yep. I think he would be a good fit at the 16th/17th pick where the 49ers are and can move Goldson to SS where he is a big hitter close to the LOSand would allow Thomas to be the ball hawk.

hope my niners pick up haden and get a sucker to take clements off our hands an with the other pick i want a ol preferably the dude from rutgers(forgot hisname)
i wouldnt be shocked if we pick up a qb with our second pick, hopefully claussen

I just hope the Eagles go after a playmaker at OLB or FS. The play at FS has been awful this year. I feel like I've been wanting them to draft thosepositions for years.

earl Thomas has Mike Huff written all over him.
