you should start with a number all the way around to see if you have a lump sided head

atleast start the fade where the NOSE outline on the sides is, you went too far up too quick

I faded my hair before I grew my hair out... It turned out fine but it was by no means easy...

I actually started out cuttin my own hair until fools started wantin me to cut their hair.. for buck$ of course.

Low fades are hard for beginners...

Never think you can fade/taper your own hair unless your experienced with clippers. If you really need to cut it just do 1 length all over makes it way easier.
