🎾 Official Nike Tennis (and other brands as well) Thread 🎾

I don't necessarily think PE's are more durable. They definitely use better materials, or at least, are built better (they're a custom shoe after all), but I see PEs as built strictly for performance and don't need the durability that the GRs have... they don't need to last months or even years cuz if you get PEs, chances are, you're wearing new pairs every few matches. I see them like racecars... they are there strictly for performance and just need to last the race distance... and don't need to last hundreds and thousands of miles like commercial cars do.

I remember seeing pics of Fed's PE's and the toebox material looked very different. On the GRs, the Vapors had some Drag-on rubber (or whatever it's called), while on Fed's, it looked like a much thinner and lighter material. And also fascinating that trusty ol Phylon and Air Max was good enough for Rafa!
Yup and FootDoc said they were pretty uncomfortable overall aside from the spring back from the additional shank. If this design was a GR then people would freak out saying it hurts their feet, too hot, not durable, outdated, etc.

I do appreciate the classic Max air in the heel as it was much friendlier to hardcourt pounding than zoom in the heel. The 4.3 mid/outsole was really good, I played with them for as long as I could as they would not aggravate my shine splints.

Who wants to take the plunge and go ahead with the VP3 purchase? I need some first hand impressions from actual consumers.

Enough shoes until the v12 in Feb
Haha yeah, I guess I can think of it like that.
Ironically I just broke out a pair of VP2 (not a fan of them). In hindsight, I should've just waited for the VP3 but I wanted to ice my space 9.5 a bit longer. Those are becoming relics.
