Not surprising, but Fed only wore the AJ3 for the first match. Wearing the Darth Fed all black outfit tonight.

I maybe in the minority here but
The vapor 9.5 night edition > vapor AJ3
The night looks really good on his feet. I think I'll pick up a pair since I struck out on the AJ3.
All 3 pairs from this USO are good, imo.
Agreed, this year's pack is much better than last year's terrible "3M pack". ÂThe night looks really good on his feet. I think I'll pick up a pair since I struck out on the AJ3.

Tempted.
Anyone know why the Vapor 9.5 "nights" don't have the RF branding on the midsole and the "days" do?
Yeah, I actually regret not getting this when I had the chance... another racquet just to mess around with. Â At close to 370g, it's a beast! The head is too small for me to play with regularly, but I've considered getting one just to mess around with.
This is nothing new... Fed's PE's will never be close to the GRs cuz his feet are super-wide... he'll always have his own mold, so it'll never have the same shape as the GRs for starters. Â The materials and tread-pattern are also tailored to his specs cuz, remember, him and Rafa (as well as the other top players) don't need the durability. Â The rubber will probably be lighter (less durable), while the materials on the upper might be softer & lighter. Â The GR's have a stiff toe-cap for the durability. Â The top Nike guys get new pairs every tournament/match. Â ÂFed's pe vapor 9.5 looks a lot better than what we get. I think his midsole has pl or a shiny finish, rf branding and the shade of hyper punch swoosh looks darker as well, almost crimson. The upper on the toe doesn't look like the cheap mesh.
I never quite figured out how they decided to use Rafa & Fed's logos on the shoes... Probably for the Slam c/w's? Â But then again, it's not on the blackouts. Hmmm.ÂBecause Nike is lazy and doesn't care.Anyone know why the Vapor 9.5 "nights" don't have the RF branding on the midsole and the "days" do?
Honestly I can't figure out what their deal is with this. It's not that hard, and it's really annoying.
Never mentioned anything about shape or size of the mold. That hasn't stopped most nike gr basketball shoes being almost exactly replicated in terms of styling to the pe's that the players on court wear. Sure a pe may get better quality material, special insoles etc.. But the styling usually remains the same or replicated as close to the pe as possible for the masses. They even cheaped people on the cf plate on the vapor aj 3, they throw cf on everything, but not on a $200 limited shoe. This is nothing new... Yep, 287 as well. It doesn't make much sense for nike to leave it off the design. It's not a substantial cost difference, especially if the release is limited. For what it's worth, the 287 pair was $287 and had no cf plate. I would be shocked if they put that on any publicly released Vapor.
