yeah, i use to just mess around when i was younger , but nothing serious at all...

my older cousin was really in to it tho so he's the one that would take me to play

Played a few times in PE when I was in high school... Tennis isn't as easy as it looks lol. Needless to say, I was horrible.

Played for my little town team  in the second part of the 90s. Still it is my favourite sport (strange to say, since for an italian like me it should be soccer, lol)

Yeah, I think that's a bit of a misconception... it's not like BBall where a few guys with a ball and hoop, who don't know how to play, can reasonably have a good time just shooting around.

The problem with a lot of beginners, IMO, is that a lot of them don't know how to move their feet around the ball... to get into a better position to hit the ball.  That's why many times they can't hit the ball properly... cuz the ball is too close or too far.

I played badminton if that counts for anything :lol I enjoy it more than playing tennis since it is more reacreational. Tho I can't say which I enjoy watching more since there is no badminton league/tourny on par with the grand slams.

Badminton is hardcore!  Some people like to take cheapshots at it, but the quick-reactions and explosiveness is crucial!

I once played badminton during PE, then played tennis right after that... damn near messed my timing up!  Badminton's mostly wrist, while tennis uses the entire arm a lot more.
