No offense to anyone who does watch it, but knowing what I know about the history of Brazil's preparation of this and FIFA in general, I cannot in good conscience contribute my time. Those people needed schools, hospitals and something productive. Not a $300 million arena that will only be used one summer and never filled again. FIFA came in, bullied their government around with wads of cash and like politicians do, they bent over and took it. The place is a powder keg waiting to blow, but the government is cracking down on protesters. Now that we know a big multibillion dollar NON-PROFIT (laugh) organization like FIFA can get into the pockets of any government, I'd feel guilty taking part in the madness.

As much as I love sports, and grew up playing them in an organized fashion, they've come to dominate cultures entirely too much. Too corporate and too much focus on athletic ability and not brain ability. People seem to be more concerned with how smart their new cell phone is instead of their own IQ. Match that with the fact that most of the sh*t is fixed, I just can't get into it anymore. I'd rather play my own sports than watch them anyway...if I can find a park to do it without getting tazed by a cop for "trespassing". Good ol'Murica.

Couldnt have said it best...To everyone:Try to spread all these to anyone through social networks...Share statuses , updates etc.

Its the least we can do.Spread the word.

MacAttack I feel the same way as you do an that's what I say about the Olympics too. These countries host them and they are basically abandoned within a year because some countries don't have the money to keep them running and it's a shame

NT makes me feel so proud at times...

Yeah it's crazy because I read stuff about that and how the Olympics did affect Greece's economy. They have to be out in places that could use them after it's all over like in the US or something

They way Olympics are made (Multi national companies feeding off each country and then leaving for the next one) , same as any event of that Magnitude , even if they were held at a 'healthy ' country , if there are any under such a sstem , they would drain its resources...
