🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD 🎾

It's true. Most of these newbies aren't real fans of Agassi or the shoes. It's simply being a hypebeast trying to get a limited shoe to resell or just to say they have for their collection. After this release, the thread will go back to normal.
I really hope so...

But I am still on the hunt for this one, can't believe that they are so limited, it is officially a SP not a TZ, but I am not used to those things enough to judge.

I think it was really because of KB24's "beast" comment, which you replied to.

It makes me mad to see that they think they are the real deal and all the others are hypebeasts. We should help each other out, instead off talking **** about each others... Me for instance, i'm 34, i wore these joints in my childhood... i could barf when i here These haters. You should welcome new members instead of presuming bs !

Oh alright, that means that some people here feels guilty as I just agreed that after this release this thread will come back to its fans. And I add a little hope to get these as I don't think that they are that limited and feel that Nike is just plaing games to feed the buzz

Anyway, I'm cool. F...the haters

You should just chill and prove that your so called haters think is wrong instead.

We are not here to fight

I'm 39. I saw these kicks online and googled them which led me to this sight. Has nothing to do with tiers, limited, or anything. It's all about nostalgia for me. If I would of known about this site sooner, I would of been on it. Sorry I'm not a sneakerhead worthy of asking questions and inquiring about these shoes on "your guys thread" Y'all acting like Waldorf and Statler from the muppets. Bunch of bitter old men on some "how dare you come to our thread inquiring about shoes"

Y'all relax it's not that serious to go back and forth over we all share an interest in a Air Tech Challenges so let's keep it there whether you fell in love in the 90s or 2 days ago it doesn't matter ,

i think it has less to do with age or interest and more to do with thread content.

Go back a few weeks (before the FOs were announced) and you can see how different the thread was.

Regardless of who the new people are or how "authentic" their interest is, the thread has changed and it is due to the hype bringing in a bunch of new people (again regardless of their age or the origin of their interest).

Please read back before the announcement of the FOs if you're interested to see why people say "the thread has changed" or  " i hope this thread will go back to normal". They are not hating on you personally, so please do not take it that way.

So lets all just drop this and continue on!

Yeah, I agree with you. I'm even older than 39 and I could say a lot of the same things because I was collecting shoes even before a lot of these people. I was collecting shoes when a lot of these kids were kids or not even born; before Jordan's or shoes even exploded on the scene. Now I have to compete with them. The bottom line, if people like the shoes, so be it, new or not. The childish games need to stop. Whoever gets the shoes, they get them and they are meant to get them. Too many babies here on Niketalk acting like they are privileged or deserving more than others.

What some are saying and thinking is..."where were you up until this very moment if you were such a fan of agassi and his shoes?  You would have been here already, chopping it up about agassi and kicks.  Is it a mere coincidence you stumble upon this thread the week of the French Open ATC2 release?"

Some are also thinking/saying..."you haven't contributed anything to this thread.  you just came in here right when the final shoe of the grand slam pack drops to beg for info."

Other's think..."why won't these newcomers simply read the thread.  most of the info they request has been repeated multiple times throughout the thread."

Whether these statements are 100% true about some newcomers is in the air, but this is the thoughts on the minds of regulars of this agassi thread.

In my own opinion, it is hard to ignore these thoughts.  For one, simply reading the thread will give you a lot of info and most of it is truly posted in here.  But people, especially newcomers, are extremely lazy and 9/10 times they won't go back and read anything.  If they do it would be 1-2 pages back then give up.  They do not want to put in the work.  They want to waltz into a thread and ask for info from people that had zero interaction with them until that very moment.  There was a very awesome vibe going on in this thread.  The newcomer drama and constant questions and pleas for assistance have driven good people out of the thread.  Just a bunch of random people with new accounts asking where they can get the newest hyped up shoe that sneakernews put on blast.

I don't care if you are the biggest agassi fan in the world I would still feel the exact way towards newcomers that act LIKE THAT.  Now on the other hand, if you're new and simply contribute and do your OWN research, quickly you will garner respect and suddenly you will communicate through PM's with friends you may make or just someone trying to help YOU out because you posted some solid info or did someone a solid.

So don't take my words here as saying newcomers are hated or anything like that.  That is not what I am saying at all.  Personally a few of the newcomers seem very cool like you seem to be Deesen.  But a decent portion of new people to this thread have made the thread unbearable for enough people.

Also I don't know about all this "thinking they are the real deal" stuff you mentioned.  People just expect you to read the thread, research things, help out...and when you do you will never struggle for info/help again.  Quite frankly, this isn't much to ask.

If you have a question PM someone you think might be willing to help if you can't find it in the thread or on google and make sure to tell them that.  Who knows maybe that person will help you.  Being friendly can take you a long way.
