🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD 🎾

I've been getting lots of good comments about my Clays. They are a really nice shoe. It's just a shame that they're made so poorly compared to the slams.
Yea I think we can assume all non SP releases of the ATC2 are going to pale in comparison to the slams when it comes to quality sadly.  That being said, I'm still very happy with my '14 Lava retros.  So to sum up...if feel exactly the same way as you basically lol.

That's what I thought.

Dude ****.

You're soooo pressed about being right and educating people that you refuse to even consider an opinion different that yours.

If this Huarache came after a true to the OG release I would have no problem with it. Throw lunar, fuse, free, liquid metal, whatever nonsense you want. They didn't. Nike decided on this remix to save money. The exact money saving move they are pulling with the FP1.

Other people in this thread are saying the same thing I am about the shoe. You're the only one riding for them. Making excuse after excuse like Nike pays you. The name change is to cover up their laziness. If you can't see that, if you had so many cups of their Kool-Aid your blind, then no one will change your mind. SO why should I bother.

It would be a big deal if any retro on it's first run had the wrong sole, not a altered sole, not one slight different, plain wrong. Do it right, then do what you want. Why is that so bad to ask.

This is the same company that left the pump off the 180s, their Vactech on Ups, Hyperfuse on the Barkleys, resued the sole for the FP1 but this move is different. This move is not a money saving move, they just wanted to remaster the shoe :rolleyes

So whatever you say about this shoe just sounds like Nike PR BS to me. The shoe is cool, if you like them fine. But most others don't. That is why there on their way to sitting on the shelves on Marshalls. See you in a couple years when the decide to do them right

You do know about the adjustment to the air bubble size on the Hua version of the sole right? Genius of Nike to save money by reusing the sole, but then spending money on making it different to the other versions.

You win though. I'll go with Nike thinking that it's an obscure enough shoe that nobody would notice if they changed the sole. That's what you're saying right?

Whats up NT, what sounds like a reasonable price to buy ATC 2 hot lavas im trying to find a pair and not willing to spend anything over 200 on a pair, also are there any replica's circulating the market because im  not trying to get scammed and end up with a fake pair so are there any teltale signs on if the ATC is legit or fake?

I think I remember someone saying earlier in the thread that the huarache retro was based on a PE for Agassi that had a different sole than the original pairs released to the public...

the original atc2 was synth leather therefore that's what the retro should be - nothing different or "better"
also - i might be getting old - but how is the atc2 retro sole different from the og (except for not saying durathane on the toe?)

also - not knowing the atc3 came after the atc2 simply by looking at it & it's technology - means there is more of a disconnect than just not knowing model numbers

that person doesn't have a good picture on the evolution of nike air or how the tech developed - cause how would they know that stuff anyway?
the midsole & air unit on the atc2 dates it to before the atc3 (labeled w/o the 3 for retro) - right away you should be able to see that and know right there the 3 came after the 2
it's 1989 tech through and through when the atc3 clearly came after that
