Well, got the email confirmation that my pair I ordered today from JD are shipped (technically label is created and they will get picked up tomorrow when UPS visits the store they are coming from.
I can't believe it actually worked to go to JD, and have them order it based solely on their inventory scanner. So freaking happy to have these early and not have to stress over them on RD.
If you got a JD close by, go in, ask them to enter the code in their machine and tell them others have ordered sizes early and it worked.

Damn, I’ll be in NoVA/DC for work that week. Hopefully I can secure a pair with ease or make a trip to Tyson’s Corner and take my chances lol.

This release has been a mess so far with jdsports. I called several stores, some had them some didn't but got different answers from most of them. I am probably going to try the stock locate and order route. Some of them that have then in in stock but won't sell them while others decided to put them out early. One store said they only had 1 size 12. I would think they might have one more but definitely not going to be easy to get for the bigger sizes of course. I put int a bid on stockx in the meantime because going to the mall is annoying when you don't know if the employee will give you a different answer by the time you get there. I'll pay $50 for my first pair as I need to at least get two and with time and gas. I think resellers think they are getting $300 for these which isn't happening. Footlocker already removed their link with the couple of pairs they had left so I assume they're done with their stock.

I'm still not convinced that anyone at my local JD knows how to use their POS system. Went twice since they switched over from a FL. Both times I handed someone a shoe and asked for a size, and they never came back to me.
First time, I grabbed a shoe off the wall, interrupted 3 employees who were having a casual conversation, and asked for a size. They took the shoe with them and walked towards the back, were accosted by the store manager and told they were in the wrong area, manager took the shoe from him and put it back on the rack, and nobody came back to me.
The second time, I waited around for a while and asked another person (nobody came up to me the entire near 45 minutes I was in there) who said they would grab the shoe and leave it at the register for me. I went to wait in the line, 4 people in front of me and a good 10 minutes plus there because they couldn't find any of the shoes that salespeople told them would be there, and I gave up and walked away. Haven't been back since.
That was a little over 6 months ago. Don't know if I'd give them money even if they had the shoe and they could figure out how to process the sale.
