🍎 OFFICIAL NEW YORK METS THREAD 🍎: Off-Season

Gsellman has been disappointing but to be fair he would've been long relief, as Lugo would've been 5th starter and is a much better pitcher.

Batting Walker and Granderson together... Smh. Still don't understand why the Mets paid Walker 18M coming off back issues, he's been terrible.

3 of 4 wins at least, get to. 500

could've just kept Murphy. cheap assess. oh well. cant hit on all of them

gesellman could get better! let's hope. he will get a few more starts for sure

good win in beating their ace. let's get another series!

Its time we sit down Granderson for a few games.

11 hits in 89 at bats? This is our starting CF/RF ? :{

Please stop with the Murphy talk. Everyone views things in hindsight. A .280 went on a streak that no one thought was sustainable. He's an average defensive player who somehow found the cheat code offensively. What's done is done. If the team played better, they'd be fine.

Would've loved to have a .280 .290 gap to gap hitter and thrown him in first base, they just didn't want him for whatever reason and it surely wasn't financial.

Starters are not doing their job, believe the last few weeks everyone is giving up 3 or more runs a game. Mets go to the pen by the 5th or 6th every single day

Offense has been better though, just need some reinforcements from the minors and get rid of the dead weight..

d'Aurnaud leaves the game early, what else is new

Injuries are part of the sport. Pitchers and other position players get injured all the time.

We have depth at almost every position. Pitching may be the greatest depth of talent tho.

Conforto should be our every day lead off hitter. Dudes got potential to be a 30/30 player.

The depth we had at SP is gone with the injuries so we're left with the sub-500 product out there now.

youngin33 youngin33 you're right.

Is it too soon to panic? Curious if Thor's injury keeps him out for a month or longer, will mgmt make a trade for another pitcher?

Really hope that Harvey starts to heat up, but it's a damn shame to see the pitcher he's become with that thoracic outlet procedure.

I don't think it's time to panic either, but we need to focus on winning series' especially versus the likes of Atlanta. At least the bats have been going well recently, but our Bullpen has been absolutely abused lately. Can't catch a break there as of yet.

Tough game from Degrominator but he did put up 2 RBI's. Reyes continuing to do damage. Good to see the Mets on this side of a laugher. Hopefully they take the series.

Loving what I see from Mets

16 runs
20 hits
0 home run

Beautiful

insane stats given how we hit so many homers.

Lets get consistent now. We shouldve been hitting like this since April

Collins is not happy with Ray Ramirez

I hope that'd send Mets a message. Find a better trainer

did you read that somewhere? I'd like to read that if you have the link.

Didn't you watch the game? Collins did something unexpected that he has never done as a Mets manager which is that he yelled at Ray in the dugout. Collins's face turned red when he spoke to Ray

Things have to get better, right? Montero starting was basically saying we'll try next game.
