Just saying it still feels fresh as hellDamn, the Last Dance was LAST YEAR? Time flies bruhs

I actually like the fact that NBA players are more friendly now. They were friends back then too, but this really is a fraternity and people should really look around and take stock of the fact that they are in the 1% of the 1% and enjoy it together. We live in a society where this sort of fierce competitiveness has been excoriated and forces the individual to expiate their fire or drive to win. It's almost encouraged for modern competitors to be bereft of any sort of competitive fire.
If you're not trying to be friends with your opponents or say anything offensive to someone, you're left with the sentiment of forceful abdication.
And I gotta have a meeting with HR, because I called someone a "baby b****" in my office. What a joke
Crazy man, we've all be stuck in the house relatively speaking for mad long. I've gotten so used to it that I don't want to go back to the office honestly.

LOL that's wild. I am 50/50 on that, I feel like if you work in the field you work in, that comes with the terirorty. You walk into high finance you know what it is from the get-go. You're gonna get yelled at, cursed at, called stupid, etc etc.
But on the other hand... WHY?
I'm sure you saw this... https://assets.bwbx.io/documents/users/iqjWHBFdfxIU/rim9z3X.NpYk/v0
I feel like its the norm but why is it the norm still?

I get it, but sometimes it crosses the line of insanity.Bruh, you have the answers to this better than I do. My time there was relatively short, compared to yours.
But it's the culture and it's more a way to fraternize with eachother than anything else. It's a corporate "haze", so to speak. You deal with it, you keep your head down, you produce solid work and you start to dish it out to the next group of neophytes.
What's wrong with that? Survival of the fittest. I'd rather be around people who are mentally tough, than someone I'd have to be cautious of what I say around them.
Ehhhhhh. Things getting done/not getting done costs people hundreds of millions of dollars where he's at. I get it. I've seen mistakes made and you'd think that people are getting ready to throw hands over it.
Homie, calm your over competitive a** down? You work at a desk, you're not Michael Jordan
under what circumstance are you calling a colleague a "baby b****?" How was that ever appropriate? Bro, just go send your emails and relax

One time I was out for the day, had a bunch of doctors appointments to go to, potentially serious health issue that could have required surgery. Didnt give too much details but I told them I that much.
7:00 PM came. I get a call. "Did you check your email? Client wants to rework the entire deck, the meeting is tomorrow. I know that you're out for health but work comes first". This last part was what really blew miny mind. The craziest of statements.
Didn't even try to push the meeting on the heels of this ridiculous ask, I had to go into the office, rework the deck, stayed all night, went to sleep under my desk at 5:30 AM woke up at 7:00.... meeting led to absolutely nothing.
This kind of stuff is nonsense. I'm cool getting yelled at cause I messed up a formula or something but the whole "I control your life and everything about it" is craziness.

Its different when you truly have a vested interest in things and it all affects your comp.
It really depends what group you're in. I've heard stories similar to yours. Your VP or MD sounds like a jackass. Its one thing to work under tight deadlines, but to control someone's life, because you can? That's abuse. I've been fortunate never to have experienced this when I was there.
Don't expect you to get it. IYKYK
Why are we talking about this?
Knicks gonna keep their cap clean for 6 years from now when Zion can actually move freely?
Private vs Public sectorHomie, I was in the military for 6 years. The stakes are higher than any office job you have. Literal life and limb were at risk on a daily basis. I still didn't go around calling my colleagues or subordinates "baby b****es". But I guess I don't understand what you're going through
