This is awesome man. As a jazz fan, i'm excited for what Wade can bring to the table as part owner.
I read this and at first I 100% thought it was an aepps post until I looked over

The Jazz are worth about $1.7B. Any idea how much he had to put up? I'm not sure when these ownership groups come together if stakes are revealed.

Love this.
First order of business should be going back to these uniforms and dumping that gradient bull**** forever

Nah, first order of business would be to give the “Jazz”name back to New Orleans.

There is no Jazz in Utah, there are Mormons and mountains.

These things always bugged me out about the NBA. Franchises changing locations but not changing their names

There is no Jazz in Utah...
There are no Grizzly bears in Memphis....
There is no water in LA, why are they named the Lakers?

I'm not sure, I haven't seen any reported figures. Could he have gotten a 'deal' since he's a former player and Ryan Smith is a young dude? Idk

Didn’t Jay-Z own like half of one percent of the Nets?

You are right, but the 3 teams that you mentioned are quite established. Charlotte was smart to drop the Bobcats moniker and get back the Hornets name but that in itself took a decade.

As an older cat, I wish the Bullets would come back too but it is what it is.

Nic Batum guards every position on the floor from one game to the other. Takes his turns on the other teams best players. Benny definitely isn’t the only one.

It only took Devin Booker to play alongside a top 5 PG of all time to start winning.

Mitchell better.

isn't Mitchell playing alongside a multiple dpoy? Jazz a well built team last time I checked, Suns been matching the Kings as far as team building goes.

It’ll come out at some point, I remember people having jokes for Jay’s stake in the Nets

Jay-Z's ownership of the Nets was the biggest pop culture charade of the 00s. He had dudes thinking he was running the show.

] reported that Jay-Z bought a stake of the Nets in early 2004, putting $1 million of his money into the deal. If you’re curious as to how much that got him, the answer is not a lot.
It qualified him to own 1/15th of 1% of the team. He owned more when it came to the Nets arena, the Barclays Center, owning one-fifth of one percent in that building (which is worth over $1 billion).

Green Bay fans on NT probably own just as much of the Packers

He's drunk man
