If you just watched his high school highlights you could see he had a good handle. He so strong and explosive being 6'7 don't stop him. He put that shoulder in dudes that might be taller and they don't wanna deal with that.

My only concern with him is his weight and I still think son need to cut some fat off and get in better shape and don't wait til year 8 or 9 then decide to do so.

For Zion, I'd probably focus less on his weight numbers and instead focus on body fat percentage. What's the body fat percentage of the average nba player? I'd guess 10 percent? So let's see if Zion can shoot for 10 percent...he's obviously above that right now.

My guess is that Zion at 10 percent body fat will still be over 260 pounds.

I understand taking the money but OKC be robbing these kids man

he’s been averaging 15/15 as a starter and just signed a 360 deal

I'm guessing the amount of years in the league combined with being undrafted is why his and Lu Dort contract numbers so low?

That's wild they both starters at 21 making pennies compared to vets who can't even keep up with them.

Seemingly a microcosm of many American businesses.

I kind of get Dort because he took off after the deal. But brown been eating. You don’t sign that kind of deal after a 20/20 game

He has a point but those narratives will always be out there, especially when it’s against LeBron

they doing everything to discredit my nets. all i heard this yr was how washed blake and LMA was and now they are "stacked"

meanwhile, the lakers get a stud in 2x all star Andre Drummond in his prime yrs for basically nothing
anything to make bron look like he is against all oddz

I stand with Blake. I had some of the hot take sports shows on in the background while working this AM and this is getting ridiculous. The only passable excuse for saying that the Nets "stacked the deck" by adding Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge in 2021 is that you got locked up in a maximum security prison with no television or contact with the outside world in 2015 and were just released a a month ago. Only reason any sensible "fan" should be able to push that narrative.

The Thunder are under the salary cap floor. They could've given him $3-4M a year at least. :lol

The commentators on NBATV were talking about this last night. He's putting up 26/5/6 on solid splits for the best team in the league but not a got damn peep about him being MVP. The Jazz overall are being disrespected, though.

Mostly because everyone is assuming they won’t do anything in the playoffs. Which is valid criticism because they only have 1 first round win in the last 3 seasons. Just gotta wait and see.

Agreed.

But as we’ve been saying in here, the MVP is a regular season award and the Jazz are having a fantastic regular season. So how they are anticipated to do in the playoffs shouldn’t really factor into whether Mitchell (or Gobert) are MVP candidates. But I think it does.

Since people this season have been comparing this Jazz team to the 14-15 Hawks, I checked and nobody from that Hawks team got a single MVP vote.

Not looking forward to having to play Zion tonight at all

Did pretty well with Yanni the other night, but Zion such a damn force.
