City is lucky Ronaldo isn't on the field. Doubt it would still be 0-0 at this time if he was playing.

So much stress...great defensive showing by City Otamenid and Kompany where great. I wish we could have got a goal on one of those counters towards the end. A tie doesn't work in our favor but Atleast it's not a loss. We gonna need some Magic in Madrid

Sucky game...

City needed to take advantage today with the Madrid injuries. Incredible saves by Hart (Pep may want to get rid of him but I think the City fans will stop that from happening :lol)

Vasquez was terrible. Kun was nowhere. Marcelo is the best LB in the world. That's all I got :lol

Gonna need Ronnie to break some hearts the next leg :smokin

Hart's been outstanding this year tbh,I wouldn't sell him yet for someone like Ter Stegen like it's been rumored.

Ball just wasn't bouncing our way for our chances. 0-0 isn't the worst scoreline to be going back to the Bernabeu. If Ronaldo comes back I doubt we will shut him out so it will be tough.

Praying for any away goal for us. We need Yaya no matter what, Fernandinho and Fernando are the safe defensive choices in midfield but none of them can be a game changer like Yaya can be on his day. I hope we start out with Nasri on the left and pay no mind to Navas, he did not link up well at all.

Hart or Modric MOTM. Both played extremely well today.

2nd leg in Madrid and in need of goals, sounds like the stage is set for the based one

If Ronaldo and Benzema play next match, 4-0 Madrid.

Really expected more from City today, especially after halftime.

I was really hoping to see bale make an impact today. Aside from the setpieces, city shut down whatever wing he was on

Pepe was so good today :lol if he directs that shot to left or right he probably scores.

Kompany was the difference maker for City shut a lot of things down.

KDB was starting to get something going towards the end, the clocked saved that.

Vazquez got into good areas but couldn't put things together.

Modric in his usual form.

Bale had no space to flourish, Vasquez wasn't drawing any defenders his way, He was pitiful. City focused on Bale and locked him down, but they were also playing defensive the whole game.

Ronaldo on the other wing would have opened up the gates.

MOTM for me today was Hart but Pepe and Kompany both had huge games. Kompany held it down and Pepe took Aguero out of the game

I feel like starting Jese on the wing opposite Bale wouldve worked, But maybe Zidane sees him as a striker. I havent seen him play much and honestly dont know what position he is best at.

Just got back from the Pub, good Lord that was stressful

We seemed to come out ready to go, but damn those last ~10 minutes were scary as hell to watch. Joe Hart with a legendary couple of saves there :eek :lol

Match was a snoozefest for the most part.

Sterling's touch on that late chance was absolutely terrible. Also it's unfortunate Aguero had that unnecessary handball when De Bruyne would have been clear 1 on 1 with the keep :{

I'll take the result to be honest, unfortunate we couldn't take advantage of no Ronaldo and a terrible 45 minutes from Benz. Next week should be a great one :hat

David Silvas already been ruled out for next week :{

Manchester United set to revamp scouting network with 40 appointments worldwide

Manchester United scouting network set for wide-scale expansion

The root-and-branch revamp of Manchester United's scouting system will see up to 40 appointments around the globe in an initiative started by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
The wholesale changes from the tight-knit Sir Alex Ferguson era will see the academy and first-team talent identification operations merged to create a more efficient approach in order to attract the best prospects in world football.
Sports headhunters Nolan Partners are working with United in recruiting fresh scouts in every territory.

Dutchman and former Ajax scout Henny de Regt has already been brought in to work with head of youth recruitment Derek Langley, while chief scout Jim Lawlor has been given admin support so he can concentrate fully on finding players.
United want to keep a greatly expanded scouting system in place whoever replaces current manager Louis van Gaal, so avoiding David Moyes' predicament of finding there was no accessible database of potential players when he took over from Ferguson.

Remember all that talk of the academy being miles behind other cubs? Another U-21 league title and a handful academy products becoming key contributors later and all that talk seems to have died down drastically :lol
