The fact that the damn FA, with all it's own problems, has taken the lead on this kind of issue compared to other leagues is depressing as hell :smh:

Curious to know why this is depressing. Do you feel that even as the leader they treat it too lightly?

There's definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of hiring. You can't tell me that there's not a single qualified black manager for any EPL club, especially with all the great black players throughout EPL history

That's exactly it because it shows just how little everyone else is doing when the FA gets praised for taking common sense/modern measures and doing the bare minimum

i just don't understand why some of the same trash english managers keep getting hired and re-hired

It's hilarious to read Everton supporters are up in arms about sam now... They were all on board with his hiring... he is what we knew he was. Homeboy also has too big a mouth like he's accomplished something in his career.

I can't bring myself to watching Prem footy on the regular. It's such an eyesore. It's just really prehistoric football. Just absolute terrible quality of play. I've noticed for all of the cash the Prem brings in, the refereeing has gotten really bad & I'm not won to complain about refs. The last 2 years in particular have been really awful in the Prem.

Prem style of play (or the lack there of) is specifically why the league has down so poorly in European play in the last 7-8 years.

They protect their own well...

Even when they're being punished

Foreign players don't have nearly as long of a leash

On a lighter note, speaking of having a big mouth, this is still my fav Big Sam moment by far

I don't think either of these moves will go thru for Inter unless Barca drastically lowers their demand. Inter just don't have the dough.

i don't want rafinha to leave
he didn't even get a chance after his injury

denis suarez should bounce. let him leave and get a good check while we can.

Still the most entertaining league in the world though

To be fair, even with their mistakes, Man City, Tottenham, and Liverpool have been fun to watch the past couple of seasons. I'd include Arsenal but Arsene sabotaged that club with his selections and transfers. Man United sucks to watch because of Mou; otherwise they have a group of exciting and skilled players that would've been fun to watch under a more positive manager

I currently rate KDB over Pogba, but it’s by a narrow margin. Both have been phenomenal though, KDB imo has been the top CM in the world this year and I think Pogba is top 3 as well. They both have incredible passing range and defensive abilities, I would just say KDB is a little better finisher at this point. And it has driven their teams to be the top 2 in England and legitimate contenders in Europe.

I’ll be the first to say I was critical of Pogba at times early last year but still had confidence he would come around. I think the mega-transfer fees this summer really did help him to relax and now I think he’s been fantastic and worth that fee in today’s market.

I’m just glad Pogba left Juventus. I mean, y’all should be good and all since y’all picked up Higuain right? How’s that working for y’all?

June picking up Higuain was always so odd to me. They can win Serie A with and without him, but adding him makes it even harder for them to score winning goals in a CL final.

Watching the mid table teams gives you a truer sense of the league. I love watching mid level La Liga, Ligue Un, & Bundesliga. I can't way the same about the Prem. The football is terrible.

If Napoli can keep Sarri and their talent, I can see them dominating serie a for a season or two

i mean, they accomplished exactly what they did without pogba so....

and juve didn't want to let pogba go...he wanted to leave

True. I don't see a point in watching mid table clubs since I know there's no chance of them winning anything unless they get bought by foreign billionaires. That's just me though.

How do you rank the MLS compared to mid/low level Premier League clubs? I've given it a chance and have gone to/seen big matches, but every time I do so I end up being miserable. It's like 90% of the players don't know how to pass or maintain formations.

I remember watching SJ Earthquakes vs Orlando at Levis Stadium, and that was the worst sporting event I've been to in my life. Kaka was the only person who knew how to dribble and pass; everyone else seemed to be having a contest to see who pass the ball to the other team more.

Even when I've watched "big" matches like Sounders vs Timbers, I haven't been impressed at all.

mls doesn't compare to 2nd division teams
watching players misplace 5 yard passes and being unable to control simple balls is too much for me to handle
add to that to the constant hoofing of balls in to the stands or down the field to no-mans land
it goes against everything that i love about this game

Things could get ugly if true, doubt Ron's the type of person who'd accept a situation being out of his control/hands...

If the Alexis deal goes through,I doubt that United would even want him back right now

Dude used the club as a bargaining chip for a better contract so many times that now even most fans are over any reunion pipe dreams even if he was actually serious about an exit from Real

don't really think people watch the prem for quality play, if im honest. there are some teams that play beautifully though imho (spurs, city, hate to say it but arsenal at times). having said that, most prem teams aren't technically as sound as other leagues but the prem does a good job of drama. if it aint one thing, its another. from coaches acting like school age girls on the touch line, to racism on the pitch, to plain old missing a sitter 3 yards inside the 6. also, the prem, outside of this season, is pretty close throughout the season. you look at spain and its usually a 2 horse race, maybe 3. same thing with Italy and Germany. on any given night you could find a bottom 3 team beating a top 3 team and that just makes for good tv. this is just my opinion. I know many of you have different ones but the prem is just exciting for the most part even though it doesn't have the best technical footy
