I remember reading about how since Jose wasn’t a talented player he doesn’t understand talent and even hates on it. Even if it isn’t true, it certainly appears that way.
Instead of managing Man U this season it would have been legendary to see him take this Portugal squad in CR7’s presumably last prime World Cup and try trolling their way toward an ugly run at the cup like they did at the Euros.

Lukaku was coming back from an injury
You right about LB, Young's inability to take a man on or use his left can be frustrating.
Martial should have come on at the half.
REALLY need Madrid to win next weekend ..

Apparently Martial being left out of France had little to do with his form/playing time and EVERYTHING to do with his relationship with Deschamps and attitude. If you remember correctly, he came off a great season with United, going into the last Euro's and barely featured for France.

Jones was really bad today. His was really the only selection I had an issue with, picking him over Bailly.
I don’t think Lukaku or Martial were fully fit and Rashford was poor today which made his selection look bad, but he has shown out in similar games before.
I’m not Mou out yet, hopefully this summer brings some roster shakeup because as that game proved, we just don’t have players who consistently put in match-winning performances.
Crazy how two games in a 50+ game season come to define your entire season really.

Rashford is a winger to me. He won’t crack the first team as a striker and I don’t see the use in playing him centrally alone because he won’t ever grow into that player under Jose.
He should have been playing in a 2 striker setup or just on the wing with Martial central and Alexis on the other wing. OR even playing him next to Alexis up front, but not alone. He was looking like baked chicken out there today.
The change to Lukaku and Martial should have been made going into the 2nd half. Poor decision making by Jose today. He pulled a Wenger as waited until it was too late to make a change. The 70th minute was way too late

didnt i just say that to you? Rash cant play centrally by himself, he (like martial) is better running on to the ball or dribbling with it.
IMO we need another dynamic MF. We have and will continue to struggle against teams that pack the MF.

everyone saying lukaku shouldve started or came on at the half. they said it multiple times, he was only fit enough to play 15-20 mins today max. martial definitely should've been on earlier but there was no choice with lukaku

I know Alexis has always been a striker/attacking player but I feel like he plays with the energy to be a good CAM more alongside of Pogba and behind Lukaku and not necessarily on either wing.
He gives the ball away a lot and that’s like the downfall of him as a MF, but I’d be curious to see what a lineup with him in as a 10 and Martial/Lukaku/RW would look like.
Edit: also in a perfect world, I would love to see Rashford converted/developed into an elite right winger. I don’t think that’s really in the cards though.
