they even reinforced my right achilles, so it's like twice as big and strong as my left one but it just doesn't work the same.

also it's a tendon...way harder to heal than a ligament

My buddy that was working on getting into the league after 2 ACL tears (1 on each knee) had a couple teams tell him to go overseas for a season so they could see how he recovered from the ACLs. first game of the season he tore his achilles. he came back 100% in 8 months and was just as athletic, then 2nd game this season he tore his other achilles

damn thats ****** up.
that's what the doc said happened to me. i tore my PCL in my left knee so i overcompensated on my right leg so much that i ended up tearing my right achilles during a basketball game. he said to be careful cause athletes tend to tear the opposite achilles after a rupture like that. and thats when i said im not playing ball no more.
wasn't worth 8 months of rehab
