3 straight W's at the Allianz for Real and they didn't even play particularly well today...

Gonna be an amazing feat eliminating P$G,Juve and Bayern b2b2b

If Madrid beat this current Liverpool team in the final, after winning back to back CL's, where does this core group rank all time?

We are kryptonite to Bayern like how Bayern is to Arsenal

Again we trotted out the diamond, it was ineffective, idgi, either go 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2, preferably with Casemiro on the bench, and it looks like SJL or Bale will have to start at RB next match

Tired of this formation conversation

Whether they like to admit it or not, many many people in this thread are Real Madrid fans. Those who aren't will probably be rooting for them anyway because they hate Tom and me.

All the while I will be getting the chopper ready.

This thread isn't ready for another Liverpool Champions League victory.

don't forget sadboi, we don't like him too

The soccer gods were on our side again

Gotta give massive props to Zizou for the ballsy sub to take Isco out. People don’t realize how much the Spanish media tries to push a Zidane vs Isco narrative. But after Asensio’s goal Isco ran up to Zizou with a huge smile on his face and was the first to hug him :pimp:

Asensio didn’t just score, he also fortified Marcelo’s flank. And should without any doubt start in the next leg.

Also shout out to Lewa. Missed a big chance and blocked Muller on another :pimp:

An interesting tale of two inseparable 10s

Isco subbed at the half and might not start the second leg. James with an assist, taking Modric’s soul with a dribble, and teeing up Lewa for a big chance.

Side note Casemiro has been really trash. Verde has been calling it. Really thought he’d break out this season but between Kova and Llorente I don’t think his spot will be safe next season.

I'll take Casemiro at City.

Crazy how RM won 2-1 without any CR7 influence. Bayern killed themselves for not finishing their chances. Thought they played better but in the footy world playing better doesnt equate to the scoresheet.

if pep can teach him how to pass, he'll be great

Peak RM under Zidane have been very interesting. A very flexible side with no distinct style or identifier. They have some guiding principles and are strong mentally. With their ability to take what’s given and adapt their style, while having the freedom of not being bound to one particular style themselves, I can’t help but be reminded of a footballing version of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do.

Just to elaborate on that point further, we’re heading to the second leg of the CL semis still shuffling our team and mixing and matching lineups. It’s been like that through the entirety of the CL knockouts. And many of those matches have had match-deciding substitute and formation changes by Zidane.

If we do get to the CL final again, you’ll likely see the third different formation and play style in 3 years. And it will make an incredible feat even more admirable if RM manage to win like that.

Props to flyeed flyeed for the Bruce Lee quotes... :smokin

:rofl:At this Barca board... Mundo Deportivo reported a story today that Barca are now considering forgoing the €4 mill downpayment they made & pulling out of the deal with Gremio for Arthur... What frickin morons. :smh: He should've never even been considered especially at the price...

Keep in mind the editor in chief of MD is very close with bart. He sits not to far from him at Camp Nou (like right behind him to the left)...

Buncha morons running the club I love, wasting away La Pulga’s best years while Ronnie & gang running rampant in the CL...

Look how their young players are gettin’ it & we got a club foot dude, gomes, & a bunch of other short bus ridin’ helmet wearing duds...
