He might be right, being the most competitive league doesn't mean the best quality or best league

But you know damb well he lying by the main headline though :lol. The MLS is called the retirement league because they operate in a closed system. There's no real pressure to win every game. If your team loses out every game, you don't get relegated but hey it's cool there's always next year. Can it get competitive? yes but within MLS, once they play in other competitions like the CONCACAF CL and the US Open Cup, they get exposed by lower division or even amateur teams. Call me an eurosnob IDGAF

mls is not competitive
how could it be when players go there to let their careers die?

The only positive thing I'll say about the MLS is that it allows me to see great players play. Not American players obviously.

The foreign players are making the league tolerable I'll admit that. The skillset between american and foreign players are so apart that the federation is trying to add a rule where the young american player has to play (x amount) of minutes per game  but I think other leagues has a similar rule, right?

That rule would actually be great. Finally puts the US on the right path concerning the development of our youth players.

I hope so too. Part of the reason the USMNT sucks is because our MLS players suck. Oh and staying on topic, the USSF on another desperate move to keep the WC bid hopes alive even if it means getting embarrassed by Liga MX teams (I can't wait to hear the excuses)

The Campeones Cup :lol

Funny, Dani sure took the dough though huh? Same for Gomes who says playing at Barca is hell... Did you think about the weight of expectations playing for a big club before taking that dough. Shut da eff up & play... I put Gomes more on fernandez & the board though... He should've never been considered in the first place...

I can watch that goal all day.

United need to give that man the #7 shirt when Alexis leaves. I think Rashford can handle the pressure. A young man that bleeds for the club, he knows the importance of that shirt and number more than Di Maria and Memphis.

MLS is so terrible. I feel like no one here actually enjoys it; people just force themselves to sit through players losing possession every 5 seconds so that they can say "I'm a real fan; I love the sport and will support my country's league no matter who is playing". It's ok, no one will judge you if you don't like it

I wouldn't mind the lack of talent if MLS teams actually had discipline about passing, defending, etc. Every match I've tried to watch is just chaos from non stop passes to the other team, like a glorified late afternoon game at the park. There might be a couple clubs here and there that are OK , but the overall league is painful to watch.
