Arsenal is??

I don't have a favorite club overall, but I usually root for Arsenal to do well in the PL since I like the city of London and because I used to like their style of play. Don't really care if they lose, especially since their losing ways provide so much comedy.

Forty-nine clubs have competed since the inception of the Premier League in 1992. Six of them have won the title: Manchester United (13), Chelsea (5), Arsenal (3), Manchester City (2), Blackburn Rovers (1) and Leicester City(1).
Big 4 = United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and City

Blackburn Rovers > Liverpool

What's hilarious is that after this season is over, City will have caught up to the "prized" Arsenal
Keep puffing out your chests, when your own club is irrelevant and has fallen into mediocrity. Y'all aren't even the best team in Europa

Nagelsmann is an up & coming manager but rumors were that Bayern cooled their interest in his as their manager bcs they felt he wasn't ready for the next step yet. Conversely, there was a rumor that a deal was in place for him to come to Bayern after the conclusion of the current campaign.

The next Gunners manager has a very tall task because he has a team of odd fitting pieces. There is definitely talent on the roster but I think about 2/3 of the roster needs to be jettisoned.

It's crazy to see the players Wenger used to have at his disposal & how he really broke up (here & there) the Prem from being completed dominated by SAF. The likes of David Seaman, Tony Adams, Martin Keown, Patrick Vieira, Emmanuel Petit, Sol Campbell, Robert Pires, & Thierry Henry...

What on earth happened to Bellerin!?!?! The last 2 games vs City in particular, Leroy brutalized Hector in both games, absolutely murdered him. Bellerin even got stomped on by Ostersund too...

I like Nagelsmann, I think he has a good future. But I agree he's not ready to take the next step. Arsenal fans want Howe, Arteta, Henry but they all lack experience and have never taken a club to the CL. Arsenal needs a manager that has some experience in Europe competition. With the amount of work that needs to be done, can't take that risk.

We truly had some amazing quality back then. Wengers blue print was perfect but he has never been able to adapt and change it according to current times.
With all those players you listed, along with soccer ability they also had good soccer intelligence. The book I'm reading talks about it, I'll try and find some good quotes later. But Wenger loves a player who can problem solve. He has a bit of a hands off style to his managing. Now we have players such as Xhaka, who had to be constantly drilled when he was at M'Gladbach, to the point they had to tell him where to place his feet.

In modern day football, the hands off approach doesn't work well. The players need instructions, some more than others. From a tactical standpoint it shows, the players aren't sure what to do. Especially from a defensive standpoint. It doesn't help that the players are turning on Wenger now. We also don't have the right players, a serious lack of players...winger, CDM, etc.

We also don't have a true leader, no one is really stepping up. The team chemistry has been in a funk, the negative atmosphere in the club surely plays a role.

I was talking about Premier League titles. I'm sure you already knew that though.
You said trophies. You only can brag about your piss cup. We can brag about Europe. Your club is in a state of disarray. Even when we had Rogers we looked better than you.

If a baby was born last time y'all won the Champions League, they'd be able to buy tickets to see Black Panther without adult accompaniment today

Wenger is like a boxer who doesn't realize he's passed it even though he keeps getting knocked out by younger and stronger competition. All he can think about is the next fight even though he has nothing left in the tank and time has passed him by. This used to be comedy, but it's getting downright pathetic at this point.

Love or hate SAF, at least he had the wisdom to realize that it was time to leave and he went out on top. Wenger will leave with his legacy taking huge blows.

Modric has been formally charged by prosecutors in Croatia for perjury.

Real Madrid's Luka Modric charged with perjury in Croatia
Croatian prosecutors filed perjury charges against Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric on Friday for his testimony about financial deals with a former Dinamo Zagreb director charged with embezzlement and tax fraud.

The prosecutors in the eastern town of Osijek said Modric gave a false court statement in June about his 2008 transfer from Dinamo to Tottenham. He moved to Real Madrid in 2012.

The 32-year-old Modric told the court he had a deal with former Dinamo director Zdravko Mamic to pay the club 50 percent of the €21 million contract. Mamic is charged with taking an unspecified chunk without declaring it to tax authorities.

Prosecutors claim there was no legal contract between Modric and Mamic and that their private deal was backdated after the player had already been sold to the London club.

If charged and found guilty, Modric could face up to five years in prison.

The Croatian football federation said in a statement that it stands by the captain of the national team "because we believe that in this process he will prove his innocence as well as groundlessness of the charges."

Prosecutors have accused Mamic, his brother and two others of embezzling €15m of the club's money since 2008 on different player transfer deals from Dinamo to foreign clubs, and not paying €1.6m in taxes.

Mamic is considered the most powerful person in Croatian football with substantial political influence. The trial is seen as a test of Croatian judiciary in the face of corruption.

Someone needs to link Melania Trump to this thread to save Quik from you cyber bullying heathens

I mean...he asks for it with the nonsense he posts in here

In geteuropaquick's World:
-Premier League trophies > Champions League trophies
-2004 was more recent than 2005
-English football did not exist until 1992

The medical staff (Portuguese emergency services, not club staff) got sent off in the Porto vs Sporting match today :smh::lol:
Ball rolled under the medical staff's bench and a staff member hid the ball when Coentrão came to pick it up. Coentrão then appeared to push the staff and medical staff shoved him back, which ultimately resulted in the medical staff getting sent off.

On the bright side Arsenal can't get their annual beatdown from Bayern in CL so it all works out in the end

Roy Keane hits out at Liverpool and Tottenham's 'embarrassing' trophy hauls
With only two League Cups between them since 2008, Keane believes the clubs need to be winning more trophies
