As the resident atletico I shall do my best to explain what's happening atm (no pun intended). Right now Lucas basically pulled a coutinho on us, he's said he is injured and has sat out a chunk of our games. Bayern is in a kind of hairy situation by buying him. Don't get me wrong Lucas is a great player but he's an absolute bellend. 80 mill for a player that's this hurt or 80 mill for a player that gets so disgruntled he'll fake an injury isn't ever a good look. Partey is probably on his way out. I'm hoping he goes for 60 but he'll probably be gone for 40-45. Whoever buys is getting him for a steal. Although he is.not Kante, he is a box to box midfielder that plays all three spots proficiently. He can distribute, shoot, dribble, and drop back and defend. He's so good we've played him from the cam spot to CB/RB. He's Arguably more talented than Lucas. Godin and Filipe are out, they're fetch us a cool 40m's combined which leaves the big question... What happens to Saul? Saul will be worth about 120 in this market right now and City seems keen on breaking the bank to purchase him. He's been loyal and if he left I would have zero issues with it as he is always welcomed Back. As well as Morata been with us it seems Chelsea will bring him back from loan as they are transfer banned and have zero St depth. It's okay though due to Mollejo and Garces ready to be promoted to first squad. That leaves us with needing to LB's a CB, and potentially a midfielder. Right now we're in talks for tagliafico, and hererra. We're in a rebuild right now and I think this is our best time to cash in. Almost all players on their way out are from our academy so it shall be all revenue. If barca are really letting Umtiti go I say we let profe walk from being our physio and get a trainer who specializes in muscle injury and endurance. We can pick up Umtiti to be with Gimenez and be good for 2020-21

Man what a talent. That 80m figure going around seems kind of low in this outrageous market. If I’m Liverpool I’d gladly sell Mane and pay that up to secure arguably the second most talented youngster after Mbappe.

Edit: looks like BVB have no plans to part with him this summer. I don’t blame them no reason to rush to cash in if you really believe in his talent. If anything his stock could also go higher. And convincing him to stay one more season for the benefit of his career probably wouldn’t be the hardest task. Dude just turned 20. He’s got plenty of years ahead of him to star in England, and also Spain afterwards if his career pans out and he chooses to.
