As a Chelsea supporter, I can understand your apprehension to part with CHO. Kid is a star, we've seen the flashes in Europa League. 50M euros doesn't even feel like quite enough from Bayern for the 18-year-old, and there has to be a fight for a buy-back clause if any board is even considering to sell CHO.You’re absolutely right about not having leverage. But I think we’ll be forced to take the risk and keep CHO if we can’t bring in any replacements. No way we can survive a year with just Willian, Pedro, & Pulisic on the wings. Possibly could give Musonda a shot, but I don’t know what’s going on with him.
Also, CHO would stand to gain from Hazard leaving. That would definitely open up more playing time for him.
But we’ll see what happens..
I'm constantly puzzled why Sarri hasn't played CHO and RLC more regularly in his first London campaign. Alonso has been spotty, leaving the opportunity to play CHO deeper. Or if you desire him attacking, rotate him further up the pitch with Willian and Pedro. The former is inconsistent, the latter is aging. I long felt RLC slots in well at LM next to Jorginho and Kante in a midfield three. Sarri has struggled to fill that position with Barkley, Kovacic, etc.
