College Blue 17s are still one of my favorites. Altogether, the 17s are one of the best Jordans for on court performance and casual wear. So comfortable.

Whenever the lightning 17 lows get retroed, I will never need another Jordan Brand product.

Difference in today, versus Yesteryear...  In 5 years will people still be banging to DS2?  highly unlikely...

I still can play Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik .. album dropped in 1994... and  it still knocks..

Yesteryear made classic timeless music..

Today it's all about the hot track for the month.. after that its gone..
End of discussion...

I'm 30, the way rosa parks set us off is the same way **** up some commas sets these kids off. Like someone said, times change

and this is why this generation is some ish... jus think about it... you got "Rosa Parks" and you got "**** Up Some Commas".... to even compare the two is a joke... SMH

I feel like starting another 10 page debate so here it is.

Dont you think kids that are now 15-18 will still be listening to Future because they view him as great as others think 3000 is?

The same way people in their 20-30 might not listen to the pioneers of hip hop because it was too before their time but people in their 40-50 still listen to it now.

it's all about the quality of the music to me no matter the era.... I jus feel like todays music, Rap and RnB, is just majority garbage....  everyone soundin the same, same beats, same rap cadence, same subject matter, etc.... can't tell one artist to the next... and this goes for current RnB too....  what happened to the variety....  the youngins don't even know what variety means... SMH

In this thread:

a few Future naysayers conjuring up hypotheticals that would essentially take 15-20 years to substantiate.

a few "back in my day" old heads that can't embrace or appreciate change.

dudes arguing subjective claims, only to reply with ":lol" when they realize how silly they sound.

Just post the celeb pictures and keep it movin'. :smokin

There are different sounds and variety there are just 1000 times more artist now then before. You can find what you want just look for it and stop crying.(not you but everyone who has been talking about future for the last 3 weeks)

you know how some people eat fast food?

like they know it's trash and there's better options out there?

yet they keep going for fast food instead?

because in that moment it's delicious.

that's what future's music is.

Why is it a joke to compare the two? They both peaked at the same spot on billboard :lol

Outkast wasn't even that huge (outside of hiphop) until dre turned weird and they dropped stankonia

u know not what u speak... all good though... and the joke was at the nature of the song titles between "Rosa Parks" and "**** Up Some Commas", LOL... jus says a lot to me about current rap....

You're right, one got sued for their song title and the other didn't.

And I speak nothing but facts, I'm old I was there, I don't have revisionist history. Outkast was only big in the hiphop crowd and that's it. Even certain parts of the country didn't respect them at first. This pop sensation, worldwide outkast didn't come about until dre switched it up with stankonia and it peaked with hey ya!

And not one person was calling Andre the greatest anything until Eminem said that nonsense on the Eminem show :lol

In the 90's early 2k.. anything not from NY was not heavily respected.. has nothing to due with their talent and skill.. Outkast is flat out dope.. 3stacks can hold his own with any rapper , their songs  are timeless... And their pop culture status is based off one song.. The praises he receives from other rappers is justified, because they recognize his talent..  No one in any profession will openly give someone props.. if it wasn't earned

People get being Hot confused with being Dope

Future = Hot
3Stacks = Dope

His likely your favorite rappers, favorite rapper

Outkast is dope and most they are most definitely legends.

Andre is not the greatest rapper discussion

Andre -dope
Future-hot and dope

Ok I'm done with the music talk

Only reason I

Andre was already stamped, at age 23 years old. Him and Big Boi were legends by the age of 23. Raekwon and Slick Rick collaborated with Outkast. At age 23, Future was still a po' hustler probably moving from couch to couch. Future is 32 years old, and raps remedial. At 32, Andre was sort of retired like Barry Sanders or Michael Jordan.

People only collaborate with Future because they know he's a slouch who they will outshine, and make a quick buck. What legends are lining up to collaborate with Future?

Kendrick Lamar is being spoken up by Obama and David Bowie. J.Cole forced Jay-Z to take notice. He has collabed with guys like Talib, Jay Electronica, etc.

Lastly... who played Jimmy Hendrix in his biopic?
