She was the head of sales. She's not focusing on direct to consumer. She created a retail account for her son like he was Foot Locker. With mom's credit card he's been buying everything at wholesale cost. You know he's not buying picking these up at outlets. There's no real money in driving...
The XT-2 is dope. I'm a total mirrorless convert at this point. I have nothing but great things to say about Sony's lineup. If video is a factor for you I would stay away from Canon and Nikon. I swapped my 5d Mark 4 for an a7r II and couldn't be happier.
Why not just one body like an a7r II?
I took a 5dM4 and a GH4 to Vietnam for a month. One for stills and one for video. Not a pleasant experience. I wish the a7r II was better for slo mo but its nice to have almost everything in one body.
If you're at all interested in video the a7 II is not the way to go. I think we'll see an a7 III soon. If not the a6300 has the a7 II beat in every category but sensor size.
Those Sigma lenses are coming. I think this will be a killer year for Sony and Sigma. A 35mm Art would be a dream on an...
The Mavic 2 is reportedly getting the 1" sensor off the Phantom 4 and a little more flight time. It would make sense to see the Spark, Air, Mavic 2, Phantom 5, and Inspire 3. You'll have $399, $699, $999, $1499, and $2999+. You would have a full range of products. To me the Mavic 2 would be...
Yeah the Air seems great if you're looking to get into the drone game but it (and the Mavic for that matter) doesn't touch the Phantom 4 in image quality. You put that sensor on the Mavic so it has a great combination of image quality and portability and I'm sold.
Rumor is the Phantom 5 will...
Wait on the Mavic 2. It's supposed to be out sometime around April. Rumor has it that it will have the 1" sensor off the Phantom. I wouldn't be surprised to see 4k 60 out of it too.
The 6500 would be an awesome investment. Unless you're looking at the a7 ii series I would stay away. You'll be paying more for full frame and for full frame glass. The a6500 would be a cheaper investment, still over your $1k, but you could build your way up to full frame.
I would check out...
Yeah if you're good space wise working off the internal, use that. You can pick up an 8TB HD for around $200. Backup all your catalogs there, just do it daily. Look into a service like Backblaze too. $5 a month and they'll backup everything off site.
Do you have an SSD in there with enough storage?
I have two machines so I use an external SSD to jump between them. SSD is definitely the way to go. I also have a bunch of other drives that I back up the SSD to. Those are old school drives, 8 TB each. When it comes to data management there is...
Apps like Grubhub are to blame. Why stick with gross pizza when you can select 100 different restaurants offering their own ethnic version of gross? No need to stick with pizza joints.
I'm in Santa Rosa house sitting for my parents right now. Got a call Monday morning from their neighbor saying there was a fire over the hill. Had to call my parents at 3 AM to find what they wanted out of their house. It was surreal. I could see the smoke coming and the sky getting...
I wouldn't waste my money on the 28mm f2. It's pretty distorted.
I would try to wait till Feb and pick up some of the Sigma Art FE lenses. There will be a 24mm in that line up.
