After 5 games, I don’t think we can expect the Celtics to move off-ball. Yes, they’re the more athletic team, but a pitfall of being an athletic team results in a lack of off-ball movement. They’re very iso-heavy in several possessions throughout the game.
Oh, I totally agree with you. The abnormal point can be said about Steph’s game 4 performance as well.
Just saying how things change very quickly in a series.
I think it’s totally disingenuous and shortsighted to say the Celtics let this game slip away. I mean, yes, Curry didn’t make a single 3 and had an “off” game. And usually, you’d think the other team was primed to win under those conditions.
But the media needs to give way more credit to the...
The Celtics shot 15+ more FTs than Warriors. They still lost by double digits…
THIS is one of the reasons why I believe Celtics will eventually win this series.
I have a feeling it's due to his inexperience on the defensive end, as well as playing with the starters. I don't think Kerr trusts him to be out there playing meaningful minutes.
To be fair though, Horford and White played out of their minds game 1. Which was a road win. So, the series is even with Curry and Wiggins playing out of their minds game 4.
Only difference though, Steph can score 40 again.
Also, the folks who said the Celtics lost because they jacked up 3’s...
Very solid point. I really wonder, how much this effects Robert Williams. He’s be the difference this series, and the deeper this series goes, the worse he’ll be. Idk how much more he can give the Celtics.
Outside of benching Draymond, Steph going 1-on-1 against Williams was super effective...
Idk man. How about KD?
I do agree with you, Steph is playing to take his legacy to a whole other level. This is nearing top 10 status, if he can carry his team to a title.
Jordan did it, Lebron did it, and Gianni’s did it from recent memory.
Steph NEEDS to do it as well.
Yes. Steph has to carry the Warriors to a title.
This is his moment. Either he does it and people will have to shut up about his inability to carry a team.
Or he doesn’t get the job done (not true, he’s averaging 35ppg this series), and people will latch on Steph not being the type of player...
I don’t agree. He goes inside consistently, he’ll get beat up and shorten his career. The real path to greatness and longevity is to be a threat on the outside. The inside will open up and you’ll be unstoppable.
This is why Kobe and MJ were incredible offensive players.
I’m sorry I don’t understand. Tatum doesn’t do many things that are great on the offensive. He just doesn’t do it consistently.
But are you suggesting there's something technical about his offensive game that’s not allowing him to be a truly great offensive player?
I’m glad someone mentioned this. I hate to use the refs as an excuse for games, but the foul calling for the Celtics has been evidently favorable.
They’re absolutely allowing Boston to beat up on guys in the paint. They’re allowing Steph to get absolutely murderer as well.
Robert Williams really has made the difference this series. It seems like the best shot for the Celtics was a shot from an offensive rebound.
Also, his presence on defense has completely disrupted the Warriors “Beautiful game” scheme. Warriors are working hard for their points. Celtics are...
