Because the black collar section is actually plush leather. The swoosh in synthetic, and the black toe panel isn’t the best, kinda similar to what’s on breds and royals.

I’ve had that stitching issue on a few pairs, and worse issues with tongue stitching. After you break them in you honestly don’t think about it anymore. Life’s short, bigger things to sweat about.
