Winter Shoes

All, (don't know if its the right forum)
I am travelling to the midwest for new years.  I am from the Southwest, so we do not get much snow down here.  I was wondering if you all had any recommendations as to some good footwear.  I have looked at timberland, nike and cole Haan.  Not too many things to be excited about.

Your tips would be great.

It really depends what you're into. Nike boots are for the most part very bulky and large. Polo boots seem to be "in" at the moment. But I own a pair of Native Fitzsimmons, they're stylish, comfortable and best of all low cut.

I just got a pair of Cole Hann boots and they're very comfortable and also has that stylish, casual business attire look.
