just wondering. Why is he a better scorer than : Durant, LeBron, Dirk, Kobe, Wade?

this thread isn't a knock on anyone's game. I just hear people say all the time "its hands down Carmelo" when the topic of best scorers come up.

Considering Melo is a volume shooter and has never lead the league in scoring, shouldn't there be more of a debate?

Discuss.

Well it's, mainly because of the diversity of his scoring, post up, face up, mid range.

The reality is he relies far too much on his mediocre mid range jumper and he doesn't post up nearly as much as he should, and he is also a poor 3 point shooter.

Yup

He has never gone onto the block enough or used that jab step to go to the hoop instead of shooing jumpers.

43.6% 3pt shooting over the last 25 games (His Knicks career). He's already made more 3's as a Knick this season than he had as a Nugget (50+ games). And he may rely on it too much, but his mid-range jumper is anything but mediocre.

His mid range is nice, plus you factor his size and how tough it is for him to be guarded. He's a tough matchup for EVERYBODY.

In the post, in space, open floor...you name it. He can get the job done offensively.

It is medicre, I think he shoots like 39% on hit which would be slightly below average, and 25 games huh. small sample size much?

The amount of threes he has made says more.
