So I got into some colleges and was wondering if I can get your opinions on which one is awesome like campus, classes, atmosphere, town. So out of the thesecolleges which do you think is the best overall school to go to? University of Oregon, University of Washington, Washington State University, WesternWashington University, Eastern Washington University, Seattle University, or Hawaii Universtiy (i think hawaii is in pnw.....

Right now I feel like its either UW or UO. I don't know what I want to major in maybe anthropology or something i like or will impact others lives. I wantto achieve something in my life and not let it go to waste.

UW>>>> All.

Depends on if you're tryin to just have a good college experience or really get a good education... I'd say UO for the fun environment but UW for thebetter academics. Although Oregon's business school is supposed to be held in pretty high esteem...

Depends what kind of life you like man.

If you like a more metro feel, where dudes are rockin pea coats and sippin on coffee all day go to UW or western. If you want to go into sciences go to UW.Living in Seattle is not really gonna give you that college feel. Its more like doing school work in a big city. But your close to everything you'll everneed, and if you got money to shop then its a good spot. IM sports are okay. Rec is nice. Night life isnt all that great, and a good majority of the people arekinda stuck up/ really weird.

Eastern washington university- I wouldnt really look into that unless you like eastern WA. There's not really anything too special that stands out.

Washington State University- If you like to have that college life feel, then wazzu is the place to be. By far the best greek system in the northwest, andeveryone there is really down to earth and fun. The city is set up around the university and you can basically walk or stumble drunk anywhere you need to go.If your into the IM sports or just wanna play some ball and lift, the rec center they have is amazing. If your into Com, business, Hospitality business, accounting, or earth sciences its def the place to go.

That would be correct.

But it is def not a blind biased. I have spent significant time at both schools and to each their own. UW is highly regarded as one of the best in the west, and certain programs definitely make it very attractive. That being said, I definitely like the atmosphere of WSU a lot more. Not so much the football teamtho

It depends on what your major is. Each school has their strengths. I wanted to be in a great communications school, so WSU was it. UW's Com school is sobad they almost dropped the entire program, so in that sense UW would have been terrible. But if I wanted to do law or medical, then I'd have gone to UW.In the end there are just as many sociology majors at UW as there are WSU, it's the specialized programs that you should really be concerned about.

And I will tell you this, and this comes from someone who knows TONS of UW grads, if you want a great college experience at a social level, UW is NOT the placeto be. It's a commuter school. Most UW people I know thought the social aspect of the school was severely lacking. And most of my friends were in the Greeksystem, so it's not like they were weirdo outcasts.

woody23 got me thinking seriously about going to wsu. I was about to just go to uw and call it a day cuz i heard wsu is in the middle of nowhere. Whats thetown like there? Is lively or is it just a dead zone.

UW!

WSU is in the middle of rural wheat fields, and the ONLY redeeming quality good they generate is their Cougar Gold Cheese (even as a Seattle Husky alum, I loveme some Cougar Gold!).

If you have the chance i would def say visit wsu. Make sure you go when school is in session(august-may) and check it out. Walk stadium way and colorado streetto really get a feel for whats going down. its true WSU is basically surrounded by wheat fields, but is your life based on shopping, or other big city needs?Spokane has basically everything you could want and thats just over an hour away. Moscow is 7 miles away and it has a mall and a good shoe spot, as well asanother college campus (U of I).

Just check it out if you can, and decide for yourself. I was a person who was dead set on UW all my life, until I actually spent time at other universities andchecked them out. Decided WSU was a good academic and social setting for me. I hate traffic and like to be able to walk everywhere at night, as well as walkinto any random party and be welcomed with open arms.
