When are they gonna Retro Air Zoom Flight 98 AKA THE GLOVE?

These kicks selling well (if they were to Retro, that is) would all depend on how Nike handles it. They know there's a huge niche for the 90'sbasketball/classics, they just have to test the waters. Look at how many other random 90's shoes have popped up again in the past couple of years, if youthink these are a reach then you haven't been paying much attention.

That said, for fair comparison -- let's look at the other recent Zoom Flight Retros... these need to be a Carbon Fiber 95-type release. I don't knowexactly how limited of a GR these were (of course they were a standard GR, but there were a LOT less than usual), but it seemed like the perfect amount.Collectors swarmed on them, they didn't sit long, and I didn't see many hit sale prices. Then you had the white/blue joints which for some reasonseemed to have way higher production numbers. Poor. Then the 96's, both of the OG colorways suffered from EXTREME mass production. Pairs were flawed/poorquality, they were EVERYWHERE (still are), etc...

Sorry, this post is rambling a bit, I'm still half asleep. Basically, it comes down to production numbers (easy to control), and smart choices of colorways(stick to OG's and maybe ONE nice new color, also easy to control), and these would sell just fine.

I think that is what it boils down to. I think if they overproduce them, then they will sit. Zoom Flight 95, there was just enough of them. Ifthey make too many, they hit outlets. I think the problem with Nike is that they have to stick to OG colors.

I wouldn't mind at all. Definitely a Seattle staple. The black nylons feel better than the leather shroud IMO. Nike made them when he played for the Heatyou'd think they would eventually release some to the public.

i mean really with THIS shoe...there isn' tmuch they can mess up, unless they make an entire purple upper, or use one of the son of gloves as a basemodel....

basic monotone colors, splash of color on the monkey paw....2 pairs easily...

I'm down with that... the basic blk/wht, wht/blk are a must... Maybe a Sonic green/gold might work, but how would you color-block that? Greenshroud/yellow swoosh? Black shroud/green swoosh/yellow paws? time to get onto Photoshop!

The leather shroud was only on the Son of Glove right? or did the wht/blk c/w use leather?

White/Black used the leather too. It wasn't flexible at all. I balled in mine and the zipper broke. IF/When the black come out, definitely coppin 2pairs. I loved the mesh feel.

Definitely need these to be retroed - my favorite shoe to ball in back in the days. I thought someone with an inside scoop here confirmed they were going todrop either in Dec 2009 or Jan 2010? For some reason, they took that thread down earlier in the year.

Don't forget celtics as well instead of black the color would be green on the cover that would be nice.
