I have to respectfully disagree, Swerv1n. I think it's more attributed to the fact that people will buy anything limited, doesn't matter what it is.they use the same cheap materials, the same production facilities, the same resources to make limited sneakers that they do to make general release sneakers,but they sell limiteds for a much higher MSRP and they are guaranteed to sell out 99% of the time. it's a sure bet for the company. they know that theywill get all of their money out of a limited release, which, in these economically uncertain times, is a pretty valuable piece of mind for a large corporation.it makes sense, unfortunately. if you can sell all of what you produce, you do it. Nike has it figured out. the sad thing is, the GR's of yesterday arestill superior in quality and retailed at half the price of many limited releases today. but people still buy it, so they keep doing it that way.
